Are there any products you can link to your own buy button?

Hi,

I am quite new in affiliate marketing, but after seeing some good results with a landing page I was wondering about the following:

Are there many products out there you can link to your own buy button on your own landing page? (so your not weakened by a low quality landing page of the merchant?)

I just want a visitor to click on "buy now" and go directly trough paypal. Probably this is a noob question, but anyway here it goes

I'll bump this for you, since I would like to know if there is a way to do this myself. However, I don't see how this will work. If you link directly to the button, it won't count you as the referral. Unless, it would load the seller's landing page in the background and then click on the button at the bottom.

I agree, some of these landing pages look like an 8th grade school project from 2001.

I've seen many 'Clickbank Road to Riches' type ebooks that discuss doing this very thing. I've always thought it's a really good idea. If you find a good product that has a crappy salespage you might feel you can do a better job yourself. I did a real quick search on google for you and here's one of the tips I found for you. (Remember Google is our friend. lol)

ClickBank Affiliate Tip: Direct Link To Checkout

In today's Affiliate Marketing Webinar, I shared a tip on how to get around bad sales copy when you want to promote a great product through ClickBank. The trick is to write your own sales copy for the product, and then link an order button directly to the checkout page.

Typically, when you are promoting a ClickBank product as an affiliate you will use what they call a "hoplink" to the merchant's sales copy. That hoplink tracks the click-through's and you get credit for every sale in the form of commission.

In the rare case that you want to bypass the merchant's sales copy, you can set up a direct link to the checkout page that will still track your referrals. Here's how you do that...

There are 4 things you need to edit in that link:

• YOURID which is your ClickBank ID
• MERCHANTID the merchant's ClickBank ID
• ProductNumber
• ProductName

The product name and product number can be found in the merchant's original checkout link. What I usually do is view the merchant's sales copy page, then click View > Source in my browser. This brings up the source code for the page, and you can locate the order button and analyze their order link.

Obviously it is best to get the merchant's permission to link directly to the checkout from your own sales copy for their product.

You'll also want to test your link once you create it...

Put the order link on your web page, and then click on it to make sure that it works correctly. Once you get to the ClickBank checkout page, put in your zip code and then scroll down to the bottom of the payment page to make sure that your affiliate ID shows up at the very bottom. This is how you know that the link works correctly, and and that it tracks you as the affiliate referrer.

Sometimes that's intentional.

Believe it or not, for a lot of products an amaturish looking sales page actually converts better. That doesn't mean you should always just go with it though. If your really good at making a high converting salespage then I think just staying in control of the complete sale and then linking to the buy page is a good idea.

If I was good at making high converting salespages, I'd be linking directly to the buy page all the time. Unfortunately for me, I write crappy salescopy that never converts well.

So I just send the leads to the producers sales page and hope they can do the job.

This is so true. I split-test everything so much to get maximum conversions and so many times, the slicker, prettier websites just don't pull as well as more amateurish-looking, informational websites.

In fact, my newest product's site is just like that. I tested 14+ different designs and configurations before landing on what I believe is a winner. I'll still keep tweaking little things, but I know that how it is right now is much more of a winner than most other CB products.

I like to point people to the TruthAboutAbs.com site. It's just about as "ugly" and amateurish is they come, but Mike is KILLING IT with that site. Its gravity has been well above 500 for quite some time and I know for a fact it grossed over $14 million in 2009 with even higher earnings expected for 2010. Not bad at all for a ~150 page ebook and I freely admit that its no coincidence that the layout of TAA and my site have certain similarities for a reason. Did I copy it? Not at all, but I did take notice at what I thought was working for his site, implemented it, tested it, and kept it. That's what marketing online is all about.

And regarding what someone said about landing pages often being intentionally badly designed, I think it was Dan Kennedy who I'd heard used to always advise that (he'd always advised folks to "makes it ugly" (because then you're more relateable than someone with sleek design abilities). I think that day has passed though.
