Hey BHW Family,

Just wanted to share a bit about one of the simplest yet most effective link building approaches I’ve been using for the past 2 years, The Pyramid Strategy.

I know a lot of people throw the term around, but trust me, when done right, it still works like a charm, especially if you're into ranking affiliate sites, local SEO, or even CPA offers.

What’s Pyramid Strategy in Simple Terms?
Basically, it’s all about tiering your links:
Tier 1:
High-quality links (guest posts, niche edits, clean PBNs) → direct to money site.

Tier 2: Medium links (Web 2.0s, profiles) → point to Tier 1.

Tier 3: Spammy/automated links → point to Tier 2.

What’s worked for me:

Keep Tier 1 super clean.

Don’t overdo anchor text.

Always drip feed—no sudden blasts.

It’s safe, scalable, and still effective in 2025.

Anyone else here still using pyramids? Curious to hear how deep you guys go.

It’s not bad if your tier 2 links are decent quality and look natural. Just avoid spammy, mass made profiles pointing straight to your site. Mix up anchors, keep the link velocity steady, and focus on relevance. If the links are clean, pointing some directly wont hurt.

Great breakdown! I still use pyramid links too—when done right, they’re unbeatable for long-term rankings.

By keeping tier 1 super clean.
What type of backlinks are we talking about here? Niche PBNs? Niche Guest posts? Forums? Or anything that is niche for your project.

Thank you very much for sharing, I am enjoying it Thank you very much for sharing. If you use a pyramid strategy, then the upper layer uses very pure links. What kind of links should be used for the product pages at the bottom layer? For example, WEB2.0? Social tags? Create a personal profile?
