I was thinking that maybe that's not dumb, instead of deposit account at the bank invest in that, obviously that's not actual gold (whatever they claim) but the price is going up steadily, maybe it's good for savings.

I'm from Poland and from what I remember, in our family it wasn't gendered like that. You'd just buy gold jewelry for your guests (whether you're male or female) if you like them. If you don't like them you give them chocolate because it's cheap *cough*. Or if you're broke you give chocolate because you can't afford anything else *shrugs*.

nope, I was told to better invest in other ores, and this is because of conspiracy theories and all that crazy sht.. but makes sence, silver, copper, nickel because are more valuable than gold, let me use my tin hat for a moment please... when world as we know is over gold value will change because other ores have better use, gold is valuable because of the current society we live in, once the value of the gold change you are too late for plan B, I mean is not bad to have gold but at least invest in other ores as a plan B in case anything goes wrong
