Do you use same Cloudflare account for multiple sites?

Hi,
I don't want to leave footprints to avoid google linking all my sites, is it useful to create a new cloudflare account for each site? I'm concerned about cloudflare puting them behind the same IP (I'm just using the free CDN feature). Thanks

All my sites that use cloudflare are on one account.

Does Google have a way of knowing different sites are on the same cloudflare account? Unless Google owns cloudflare which I doubt they do.

several years ago, I personally checked and noticed that websites in the same account with free plan were assigned unique IP. However, I am not sure if this policy still applies. You can check Cloudflare’s website or contact their support team for the most accurate information.

If you want to prevent Google from linking your sites, creating a separate Cloudflare account for each one can help diversify NS records but isn’t enough. With the free plan, your sites may share Cloudflare IPs, which limits but doesn’t eliminate connections.


For better separation, also:

• Use different IPs (VPS, proxies, BunnyCDN...)
• Diversify registrars and avoid using the same Google tools
• Modify technical fingerprints (CMS, SSL, headers...)

Multiple Cloudflare accounts help, but they’re not a complete solution.

For a serious project I use different CF account. For throwaway domains, i use the same one. CF once banned my account and with that , all of my domains got blacklisted from CF. Since that moment I try to separate it.

As for the IP, I don't think this is a problem. There are dozens other domains using same IP as you are.

Thanks guys, indeed even if I get the same IP for all my sites which is unlikely ,it shouldn't be a problem. I will still use several accounts in case of a ban, as @LilMosey advised.
2 or 3 per account, as with google search console.

Well, cloudflare nameservers are mostly the same. When you use platforms that partner with cloudflare you'd notice the nameserves they provide are not different. If they give a large number of people very similar/same nameservers it's an indication that it cannot be an issue.
Ask people you knowing using cloudlfare you'd see many nameservers are the same.

All of the websites under the same account will have the exact NS,
It's not the case for multiple accounts, you'll get a variety of others usually,

It's not a major footprint, and having 1000s of domains sharing the same NS will dilute it,
But, it's still a footprint, I'm not sure if they're tracking it at all actually, just one of the things that would be better to take caution of,

It's pretty much like domain registrars, you don't typically register all of the domains under the same registrar,
And there are even way more people sharing the exact same registrar compared to CF NS,
Surely not a real problem for money sites, but well, everyone has different prefences

Not always. In fact I could not mass config all my doms because they actually change in the same acc. Unless you have very hideous web practices going with 1 cf acc is more than enough

even if you put only 1 site in cloudflare, your website will share the same IP with other websites because Cloudflare doesn't have unlimited IP pool
So don't overthink this and put all your websites in the same account

Also it's funny because recently in my country they banned all cloudflare IPs because many IPTV sites were using them. So basically hundreds of other pages were impacted. The IP pool in cloudflare is not big in certain countries so more than multiple accs I would rather focus on multiple cheap CDN providers like bunnyCDN, keycdn, etc...

Can confirm on my end. Got some different ns details on like 1 out of 50 sites on the same account.

That isn't an issue. They use the same IP's and nameservers for tons of sites

Using separate Cloudflare accounts for each site can help reduce footprints, but the free CDN often shares IPs across multiple domains. For stronger separation, consider different CDNs or additional obfuscation techniques.
