How to Search for Facebook Groups in Other Countries?

Normally if you want to find a group, you can use that country's account, or you can use that country's proxy to be able to search accurately.

Try using it on your computer, Facebook can locate and show the groups closest to you, you can also use related keywords, it may bring you more results.

Try changing your IP address to see if it works. If not, search in their language, it will be more likely to find more relevant keywords.

2 for you:
- Use a VPN to change your location to the target country before searching. Facebook often tailors results based on IP region.
- Search in the local language (like “bonsai Türkiye” instead of “bonsai Turkey”) to get more relevant, native groups :) hope it helps friend

You can change your IP address and search which is relative words to the groups you're looking for. You cannot see it normally because of FB will suggest what most similar to your behavior, search, history...

This is a common problem, usually Facebook will scan around the location determined by your phone. If you want to display a location, change your GPS location to the location you want. If not, I'm afraid you need a new Facebook account registered at the location you want it to display the location around.

Here’s a draft for your thread in

**Hi everyone,**

I’m looking for specific groups where many users from **[country xxx]** are active. When I search for groups on Facebook, it seems to only show me groups or communities from the region set on my device.

For example, if I want to find local bonsai enthusiasts in Turkey, I know there must be bonsai communities in Turkey or other specific countries I’m targeting. However, every time I search, even with filters activated, I still only get groups or communities from my current location.

Does anyone have tips on how to find these groups?

Thanks!
I think you can't search specifically. You can only search for groups that are active on the topic you are looking for.

you can use proxy if using computer.and VPN when using phone, use the right country that group is active you can search and see the groups you need

Search by keyword, Meta will actively suggest Groups for you.

Based on current web information (as of April 2025), there is no widely known list of Turkish bonsai groups on Facebook, but the above strategies should help you find them. If you are still confused, consider posting your question in some of the larger bonsai or gardening groups around the world - these groups often have members from Turkey who can help.

try it on your computer to see if it works. because if you are use a phone, Facebook will locate . Search in the language of the country you are targeting, it will appear easier

Why don't you try changing your IP address and searching in that country's language?

Once you have found your keyword, select the “Groups” tab at the top
Then, adjust the geographic location in the filter section, if Facebook displays it.

I haven’t experienced that issue either. Try using your computer and see if that works. Also, search in the local language of the country you're targeting—this should bring up more relevant results and help you find plenty of related keywords.

I have never tried it but try defining your target audience and then search in the language of the country you are targeting, you will find more relevant keywords.
