As i am newbie with seo and playing around. wanna ask somthing now
For example if i find out a keyword
Wedding Table
THen i shoud go for the domain weddingtable.com right.
if that is not available in any extention, shoud i go for wedding-table.com?
Will it still act like weddingtable.com ?
does this dash - Degrade SE value?
please answer

You can use a domain with a hypen and still get high rankings. It kinda depends on the big picture you have planned for the site. Are you going after high search, high competition phrases or low search, low competition phrases?

I prefer domains without hypens because they are easier for me to type. Most regular web surfers will type the domain without the hypen too which will send them to someone elses site in your case.

If available, you could get a domain the has your keyword plus an extra word for branding. For example: WeddingTableWorld.com

On this example site would be pages about different wedding tables. Also could be articles about history of wedding tables, how to choose them, etc.

I don't now anything about wedding tables, but it's an idea that in general could work.

Good luck.

Ignore the whole keyword match thing and focus more on creating a brand out of the domain with a combination of partial keyword match.

Since wedding tables is the example, think something along the lines of eliganttables, or weddcomfort or specialdayseating or tablevows

Take all these names and you can come up with a unique slogan for your site that can match your keyword.

However if you are going to just build another spam crap site, sure, the keyword match is the way to go.

Keyword in domain name helps but if you planning to go for long term branding should be better... How you want to do branding it all depends upon you... Decide in your mind that if you planning to start a business for that niche what will be your brand... You can go with complete different name and still target your keyword... Although don't go for completely different words because it will become little tougher to rank with small budget... LOL

In the end it all depends upon what you plan to do... If you just want to go for easy ranking and quick money then whole keyword is your best bet...

THanx all. it helped me alot
