How to rank a Reddit thread on Google?

Use any trick there in the book these generally ranks almost by themselves. Send some web2.0 or all the bh techniques you got. They ranks, even with social links as well. Also its not your domain so you can experiment any bh trick available.

A LOT of it comes down to how active the account it and how much engagement there is from other viewers. Make something captivating so people go and click on it.
 
With Reddit you have the advantage because they are favored and preferred in search.

Typical SEO like backlinks, optimized content etc will help.

But from what I saw its more about internal algorithm with them. Satisfying their internal algorithm also jumps you in organic search.

View, upvotes, comments, reply to comments, shares and how fast it happens, all this within Reddit.

It's similar to ranking a GMB listing in this regard. It has its own rules.
 
I've gotten a couple ranked. Reddit takes time. Your account ranking in reddit needs to be good. Any high authority link from any site will help. Any link from social accounts help. Ive gotten a page ranked from mostly(about 70%) facebook, and instagram links. Do some basic kwr to find the easiest targets . These days with seo you have to take into account the keywords that trigger AI overviews. Some do and some dont.
