Some years ago I went to a retreat to do this kind of meditation.

In case you've not heard about it before, it is a kind of meditation that you spend 10 days with like 100 other strangers to a retreat center in nature where you are NOT allowed not only to speak with another person, not even to look at them in the eyes. I am not joking. Eye to eye communication is forbidden. You have to be walking around the resort with eyes down. And you have to do 10 days in silence literally meditation 10 to 12 hours a day in a group setting and alone. You wake up pretty early too around 4 or 5 am. You live in a stand-alone room amongst the trees alone for the 10 days.

Extremely difficult to do even if you're a veteran doing meditation. I lasted no more than 36 hours. I think I was the first one to leave, maybe the only one who knows, those people who go there are mind savages, I think the quit ratio before 10 days are over is almost non-existent.

I thought of this meme, lol the amount of times that all the guys check chicks to see if they are nice, and the women check the men to see if they drive pink lambos.

I very much doubt ANYONE manages to not look at someone else. lol

The real Savage is the One who incompletes.

In our batch, some guys returned back within 2 or 3 days..

Before going into this, some says to me : you can't complete 10 days like that :D

I challenged & completed successfully..

10 days of Silence - No Speech, No mobile phone, No eye Contact, No Smoke or anything..

Vipasana Meditation is Simply Breathing Techniques

It's one of a way of self-transformation through self-observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body,

If you're into Spritual, you realize its true Benefits..

I Like Vipasana Meditation..
After completing the course , my soul attracted to Ancient pali Language chants and all..

You are a savage

You call whatever, never mind..
But, Respect the Vipasana Teachings .. it's a Most Ancient Technique..

There is no charge for either the teaching, or for room and board. All Vipassana courses worldwide are run on a strictly voluntary donation basis. At the end of your course, if you have benefited from the experience, you are welcome to donate for the coming course, according to your volition and your means..

I tried it once in Jaipur.I was able to 10 days. It was a bliss, it made me loss overthikking and increased gratitude toward others. But i dont know why i am not able to do it again, loneliness scares me now!

I personally believe meditation related things/ camps/ training are a scam. Again, just a personal belief. The way I do it (so called meditation) is by observing and not reacting to whatever thoughts that come to my mind. A friend taught this to me in early 2019.

That sounds wild, that is not meditation, sounds like isolation techniques, where I live they don't have those big meditation groups, usually are small and a guide or teacher is guiding you to breath, concentrate in a specific though do some yoga and more breathing techniques and it feels good but just sit, meditate and think you are all alone for a week is crazy.

Not just in BHW, but also people around us.

Infact Helped couple of guys to try for it.

There is a famous couplets that says

What is the use of all your learning,
if you can’t surrender yourself at the feet of God.

Eh. I'd rather stay at home and not talk to anyone. Should be doable for couple days if I stock my fridge and turn off the phone. Place is already surrounded by nature, trees, etc. The whole idea of being around all these strangers even if *supposedly* you're not talking with them just creeps me out. One reason I ended up not enrolling at the gym (took a tour around two) and started exercising at home instead. I was going to tai-chi classes for a while. Alone at home I had nice altered state while practicing but at the class I lost that completely, started to focus on physical only (that's what instructor focused on ugh, which is a part of tai-chi too, but you're supposed to do energy manipulation at the same time to charge yourself for it to be effective) and almost got an injury because she didn't take my limbs' length into equation lol (not everyone is fuckin tiny, I didn't fit eh).

Another load of nonsense from the matrix, where naturally, systems centralize and figures emerge to herd their flocks. The lost sheep seek out groups to belong, while self-proclaimed shepherds invent their own religions to validate their wild hallucinations. It seems stupidity is the latest trend—being clueless is cool now. You can't just do something like meditation. And to top it off, the Law of Attraction is another ridiculous New Age fad.

Why can't you do something like meditation? Well, because you're trying to take action in time, and let's face it, time is just an illusion. So, you're basically just wasting your time.

The trick is to believe what others say, it's the bait to catch the gullible. This thing about the mind, what is it? Where is it? Prove it, where is it? It's false, there's no such thing.

This post reminded me of a former BHW member who shall not be named since he was banned. Hope he is doing well. :)

I've thought about it so many times, but I keep procrastinating. Maybe because it's tough, or maybe because I feel like my business can't survive without me. Not sure what the real reason is, but this year, I'm definitely giving it a shot.

@back2form, congratulations on completing this :)
