Hello!

I’d be grateful if someone could help me understand why some web service providers like SEO Design agencies, etc.. might struggle to prioritize creative UI/UX design strategies in their work. But they use dark psychology to market their products or services.

Just curious to know your opinions.

Thanks in advance

Looks like you got hurt badly?
Actually they can't do that to me, I know well this thing.
I am talking about normal people losing money believing that these people are masters, they lose faith, hope, and self confidence and think all are the same thing.
I don't think it's a problem of perfectionism but if I want to give a service, I have to fully master it or hire the right person to do it. That's what I believe is right and good business.
I see in the marketplace, service providers doesn't really care about their own portfolio website, in my opinion if they use generic web templates, low quality stock photos, unreadable articles with 1990 fonts and no creative color palettes, they don't even rank on Google and understand how to bypass censorship etc.. It's very difficult to pay.

I understand your concern..

Buyer has to hire the right people. If you cant have the exact skill, just develop the skill of hiring the right guy. Its that simple.

True.
Buyer takes long time to build good reputation but in 1 minute can ruin it.

A lot of SEO agencies focus more on quick rankings and technical fixes, so they often neglect creative UI/UX, thinking it’s less urgent.

On the flip side, dark psychology (like urgency, FOMO, or fake scarcity) works fast for sales, so they lean on that because it shows quick results — even if it’s not always ethical or long-term friendly.

True, they don't have deep understanding of the LP structure and the time spend. They think Google doesn't care about it
Creative UI + Simple UX + CRO tactics is a must.

Exactly, and the funny thing is — Google does care, just not directly the way they think. A well-structured LP with smart UX keeps users engaged, lowers bounce rates, and increases dwell time, which all indirectly help SEO too. It’s all connected at the end of the day.

Sometimes, it’s just not worth all this effort. Moving to a village, raising cows and sheep, and staying away from all this stress sounds reasonable.
Life is passing by :)

I totally agree. The majority of SEO service providers in the marketplace don't even rank their own websites, leaving one to wonder, why don't they use their so called "earth shattering" packages and backlinks on themselves?

Can't agree more.

Persuasive words are good enough, not only SEO agencies but Design And development agencies are worst too.
I am not in a position to give advice to the Mods here, they know what they are doing of course, I respect that but I recommend to take long time process and questions form to understand how people are going to respond, experts has unique footprint.
People's money and BHW reputation is important
My mind going to explode

money first
problems later
they might even be around long enough to care about the aftermath
set up a new shop elsewhere and repeat.

Hello!

Hello! This is a very interesting and complex question that involves the intersection of UI/UX design and dark psychology. There are several aspects that can be analyzed to explain why some SEO design agencies may not prioritize creative UI/UX design strategies in their work, but prefer to use dark psychology to market their products or services.

1. Conflict between short-term and long-term goals
SEO design agencies often focus on obtaining quick rankings and traffic through short-term optimization techniques (such as keyword optimization, link building, etc.). They may feel that these techniques can bring immediate results, while creative UI/UX design is a long-term investment that takes time to see obvious results. Therefore, in this case, UI/UX design may be neglected because it does not meet the goal of short-term profitability.

2. Use of Dark Psychology
"Dark psychology" refers to strategies that use psychological principles to manipulate consumer behavior. Many marketing companies, especially those operating in highly competitive industries, may rely on these strategies to increase conversion rates. For example, they may use "sense of urgency" (such as limited-time offers) or "social proof" (such as customer reviews and testimonials) to guide users to make purchasing decisions. While these strategies can achieve some success in the short term, they may not focus on the long-term experience of users, thus ignoring the importance of creative UI/UX design.

3. Cost and resource constraints
Creative UI/UX design requires professional skills, time and resources of designers. For many agencies that focus on SEO or traffic generation, their teams may not have dedicated UI/UX designers, but rely on templates or basic designs to quickly launch products or services. In this case, the application of dark psychology may be considered a simpler and more cost-effective solution, especially when design resources are limited.

4. User experience is sacrificed
In some cases, the application of dark psychology may lead to sacrificing user experience in exchange for short-term benefits. For example, some website designs may deliberately make it difficult for users to find the exit button, or set up multiple steps in the checkout process, forcing users to make more clicks. This practice may bring more sales in the short term, but in the long run, it may damage the brand's reputation and customer loyalty.

5. Balance between creative design and SEO optimization
There needs to be a balance between SEO optimization and creative design. Over-reliance on dark psychology may make users feel uncomfortable and affect their browsing experience, while ignoring creative UI/UX design may also lead to user loss. Therefore, some agencies may choose to focus on SEO optimization and ignore investment in visual and user experience. Creative design usually requires more experiments, feedback and modifications, while SEO optimization relies more on fixed technical means.

6. Focus shifts to marketing and conversion
Many SEO design agencies focus on improving website conversion rates and sales, so they will adopt more "direct" and effective marketing strategies. These strategies often use psychological techniques such as focus guidance, strong visual induction, social proof and restrictive language, which are generally considered to drive sales growth. But these strategies often lack long-term focus on user experience.

Summary
There are some conflicts between creative UI/UX design strategies and dark psychology marketing techniques. In pursuit of short-term benefits, SEO design agencies may ignore the importance of creative design and turn to dark psychology to increase traffic and conversion. Although this approach may bring results temporarily, in the long run, the lack of high-quality user experience may affect user loyalty and brand reputation.

Agencies that can combine creative UI/UX design with ethical marketing techniques and focus on the user’s long-term experience will be able to build a more solid brand and a loyal customer base.
