I have a domain i want to sell..

effort.com

15 year old

one word dictionary (very common)
60k exact search
1000000 broad search

pr2
100 backlinks

suitable for ..
self-help website..
sports
and some more i haven't thought of..

your estimate?

btw..estibot and other web appraisal sites estimate it from 60k-200k which i think is a little too much.. but i want to hear your oppinion..

p.s. it has been associated with a real estate website.. no porn, warez or anything illegal... (like it would fit the name.. anyway.. )

greets. .Hazard

I didn't put too much effort into this but I'd say for being a 6 letter dictionary word, aged for 15 years.... my guess would be $15k.

It's been a while since I've researched domains so It's hard to say. I may be way off...

My advice:

Invest in it - build few k backlinks - it will increase its value very much. Because even if this domain is 15yo - if someone sees that it has 100 backlinks it will be very underpriced.

thanks for the advice..

i might do that.. i could fire up scrapebox and build a few k backlinks..

on a site that i started working on 2 weeks ago, i already built 6k backlinks.. and it dominates search engines. (btw. no "sandbox" or anything like that)

imagine this domain with 10k backlinks.. with pr 4-5.. niiice :)

@Bross ..
500k .. u joking?

add it to dmoz and yahoo directory, possibly other great valued directories (joe something comes to mind).
Build some content, this thing should rank for all kind of stuff

Does anybody have experience with sites that provide realistic domain valuations? I went researching the other day for a friend and their estimates are a joke. What would be best way to sell a url? Auction?

^ Market estimates prices. Something is worth as much as one wants to pay for it.

i've so far had 2 offers.. 350$ on godaddy auctions..
and 500$ from a person contacting me privately..

i think they are both low.
very low.

go put it on flippa with a high reserve ($XX,XXX). see what someone will buy it for..

you're not going to get a serious answer if it's not seriously for sale.

atleast 20k. If you develop it into a Job Or Freelancing Portal, it could be worth so much more.

If I own it, I would develop it more 1st before I would sell it. Its worth the investment anyway.

They are low, and as others suggested, I also suggest you build on it. Sure you might get a decent chunk of change if you sell it now, but you'll regret it and wish you worked on it more and made it into a big chunk of change.

its for sale.. serious..

i'll put it on flippa as well..

although they all want a cheap deal..

dont waste time with flippa go through moniker, fabulous or buydomains and have them sell it for you

I would develop the site and flip it. You will get much more profit.

Otherwise a name like this would sell for low 5 figures. I'd say $10k-$25k, any less than $5k is just a pure joke.

I would say minimum of 5k in today's market, wait for a sedo or snapnames/moniker premium auction and list it there, good luck

10,000 min would be my price, but It might take a while to find someone with both the cash, and the need for such a domain.

Don't get discouraged if it doesn't sell right off. Doesn't mean it isn't worth it, just that you haven't found the right buyer.

List it on every site you can, take out some classifieds, do some research on potentials who could use this name, and then let them know its on the market.
Treat it like a job, go after your "buyer" it's tempting to just list it and wait, but think of it this way, this could be a 20,000 payday, how much work would you do for $20,000?

And yeah, I'd build some backlinks to it in the meantime.

I see sex.com is for sale again, tell them you'll go partners, and you'll throw your domain in with theirs. You can split the money! LOL

Think it went for 14 million last time that one sold.

Good luck to you.
