So, I don't think that anyone can suggest you a law firm here.

10-15k for defamation case is good budget even in Europe and U.S ( of course this depends on a case too ). Unless you are going against some big company or etc.

So for that budget you should be able to get TOP, legal firm in India.

Just few tips:

1. Never trust lawyer that promises u.
2. Never trust sweet talk, because some will give it to you.
3. Never trust lawyer who tells you what you want to hear.
4. And many more factors

As for finding a legal firm, It could be challenging. I assume, it would be best if you did some research on google and gave few companies in India a call.

Thanks, that's great advice. I'll go for a big law firm in India then!

This would be like using an AK-47 to kill a cockroach
You can hire something decent for a lower budget
Even with a big and reputable law firm, I don't think you will earn something from it. Will you pay $10k for a defamation case? I don't know how things work in the US or Europe, but in our countries they won't force an indian citizen to pay +$20k for you for such a crime, you would probably lose money.

That's not how the law works.

I've managed to find a high profile lawyer to deal with it anyway, so we'll see how it goes from here.

Best of luck mate with your issues !
Hope you resolve them.

Indian judiciary is painfully slow. And the lawyers slow walk your proceedings deliberately to extort as much as they can from you.
Before filing a petition, ask your lawyer to send a legal notice, most people back off seeing a legal notice. If it doesn't work, only then proceed with a full fledged court case.
I read above that you've already found a lawyer, if things don't work out with him, let me know, I'll connect you to a lawyer based in Mumbai.

Told ya guys... these successful folks are violent af ;) @xReminisce @SirTop @back2form

Yeah, a bit. I mean, most people in the thread were on @splishsplash 's side anyway. Everyone learned that he gave a refund. But I get it, sometimes you just can't stop kicking even if someone is on the ground already. Anyone else having this problem?

Ah, also. These defamation cases are so popular in Poland... It really is a thing.

As of my Google search, I recommend Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas ( CAM ), a law firm with a global reputation of being trusted. I don't tried or intend personally, just Googled.
