The problem is Twitter/Elon doesn't like people linking out and the reach drops like a stone which = not many clicks.

Twitter's a good tool to maximise awareness of your brand. That in itself is difficult but if you do have your own website or platform (YT, OF, Twitch, whatever your niche demands), you can make your Twitter account work for you in that way and monetisation on Twitter itself just becomes a nice bonus on the side. Linking's an issue over at most sites sure, but that's where gaming the system comes in.

Well I have over 3.4 million real followers so if you think you know how to game the system any better, I'm all ears.

I make more money from my email marketing (over 34 million) than I do with Twitter which is a bit weird - over 3 million social media followers should be making a lot more than my Twitter account does. And it's a 1 word account!

Twitter is just a bit shit. Some tweets I make get over 100,000 views, some get far less.

Well I have over 3.4 million real followers so if you think you know how to game the system any better, I'm all ears.

There's gonna be a lot more qualified people to explain how you can skirt around Twitter's tight restrictions over all sorts of things (links being only of of those). I personally used to outsource that sort of thing and not that I had anywhere close to 1 mil followers on any one account either so have at that.
Also, "Just a bit shit" is a comically generous way to describe the Twt

Now to avoid the risk of hijacking the thread and to anyone else stumbling on to this, I'd personally say it's worth the hassle once over but you gotta make sure it's worth it for you per your personal considerations.
Plus, from time of submission to possible payout (assuming all goes smoothly), you can expect it after a month or so but no solid timeframe for it. Payouts on the other hand take at most 10 days, worse case, but you usually get it within a day or so in most cases.
