How to start with self mobile proxy farm?

Hello everyone, I'm interested in building mobile proxy farm for my social media purposes. The way I want to go is usb hub + dongles. Heard different opinions about dongles some people says dongles aren't best choice, would be nice if somebody explain why. My choice of software is 3proxy as I heard good opinions about it. I'm thinking about future scaling my farm would PCI Express be good choice when I will need to connect more usb hubs to my pc or there's better way to do that?

Dongles are a good choice for startups, especially if you're building proxies yourself and have little to no prior knowledge or experience. Get it up and running, then think about scaling.

Dongles work, but they can be less reliable for long-term scaling due to overheating, limited network control, and lower connection stability compared to industrial modems. If you're planning to scale, PCI Express with a quality USB expansion card can help, but using a dedicated Raspberry Pi or mini-PC per hub might offer better stability.
 
There are such things as industrial USB modems. Pain in the ass to configure. But depending on what you need proxies for then dongles are fine. If you need a GUI all to go with it I like xproxy but I think u have to use their hardware , not sure. They do have good deals tho I'll say that. Anyway also one good 5G proxy is probably worth it compared to 4-5 4g modems.

If you're serious about scaling, forget the Raspberry Pi—it's underpowered and unreliable for such tasks
 
What exactly makes you think so? Because of the bandwidth and speed?
Yeah more reliable and way more bandwidth out of one than shitty USB dongles. Like 250-300mbps vs 30-40 4g ones tops. 5g cost way more tho

Agreed, 5G can give you better speeds, but what is your use case where you need 300Mbps ? 4G dongle configured correctly in good signal area can also give you decent speeds, peak around 100 Mbps. I would rather have 5 x 4G dongles than 1 x 5G as IP address pool is bigger.
 
And how you get the proxy ip port? Something like proxidize?
 
Building your own mobile proxy farm requires certain technical knowledge and hardware investment, but it can provide high anonymity and flexible IP management

I totally agree and that's definitely my case I need highest ip pool in most cheapest way, so 5G would be overkill for me.
 
And how you get the proxy ip port? Something like proxidize?
As was mentioned currently my choice is 3proxy, sure it's more complicated to configure and manage but free to use.

That’s a fair point! A mini-PC or a more robust dedicated system would definitely offer better performance and reliability for large-scale operations. It really comes down to balancing cost, power, and the level of control you need for your setup.
 
Most easy way is to start with real smartphones. You only need a sim card, smartphones and software to create a proxy like iproxy.online or localtonet. Thats it :)

3proxy is a wonderful software, really good.
But there is one disadvantage - bad UDP support. Actually it does not support UDP with "parent" option.

That's a common delusion. 5G does not guarantee you 300mbit on proxy, that's because you need BOTH Upload and Download speed to be 300 mbit/s. While download speed is usually good (100-300 mbit/s), upload speed is often limited by the ISP to 10-30 mbit/s. And even if it is not limited - your farm need to be very close to the 5G tower (line of sight) to achive good upload speed. You can make a trick using so-called WI-FI split (when you download data via 5g and send data using another channel - wifi)
All these depends on your country, ISP, dataplan and phones that you use.

This is what I am stuck on now, is there an free or pay once type of alternative to iproxy.online?Ideally I would like to host it myself ... I would like to not be stuck to monthly subscriptions in the beginning, especially a 10$ per device one...
