there are many ways to get free traffic: social media, image sharing sites, forums, UGC sites (reddit, quora, stackoverflow, etc)...
Even SEO is considered "free" traffic although - until it becomes free - you'll pay through your nose...
Depending on which industry you're in you can use one of the methods I've mentioned, although forums are probably suited for every industry since there's at least 1 big forum in most industries. But even though they're free, you might need to pay with your time, just so you know what you're getting into
Anyway, I'm not going to detail any strategy since I don't know them, but let's hope someone is willing to share one or two...

Quora and forums are also underrated. Answering questions on Quora, Reddit, and niche forums with valuable insights and linking back to your content (without spamming) can drive targeted traffic that converts well.
If you’re into affiliate marketing or e-commerce, leveraging Facebook groups, Telegram communities, and Discord servers can also help. Instead of posting links directly (which gets ignored), engage with people, provide value, and then subtly mention your offer.
Another free method is content repurposing. If you create one piece of content, convert it into different formats—a blog post can become a YouTube video, Twitter thread, or an Instagram carousel. This helps you maximize reach without extra effort.
Lastly, don’t ignore collaborations. Even if you’re new, reaching out to micro-influencers, guest blogging, or doing podcast interviews can expose you to a larger audience without spending money.

You can always use Social Media for Free traffic, but if it's free then it do require alot of effort, if it's paid then you short cut the effort. so either money or time

The problem is that most groups block posts that contain links. I have been blocked from most of the groups.
