Recently I've been showing interest in staking since it's a great way to earn more tokens with the token I'm holding.

A few days back I saw a Sol staking project which I found interesting $LAYER. The system is designed to improve consensus mechanisms and allow for customized block space in blockchain applications through a shared validator model. This approach likely aims to increase flexibility for developers while enhancing the scalability of applications built on the network.

Came across an offer on Bitget launch pool offering opportunities where you can lock BGSOL for some bountiful layer drop which I've positioned myself for

This is a great way to maximize your token what do you think about this concept?

There are a zillion ways to stake. But I don't get what potential APR you get with this thing. Looks like a randomized thing?

As far as I know, staking requires you to keep your money locked for a while. I wouldn't recommend it for Solana, because if a new memecoin appears and you want to ape it, you'd need to buy more SOL and put more money to buy it. Or simply miss an opportunity.

What other crypto could be used for staking ?
Instead SOL , of course

How much return you will get extra with this step?

You don’t need to stake 100% of what you own though, you could divide a share into staking, other into trading etc..

I do understand where you’re coming from though, i’m also not a big fan of locking up funds in random defi platforms.

Just be careful and don't stake it for a excessively long period, as you would putting yourself at risk of volatility and potential loss

Staking is one of my top low risk options but I’d advise you not to stake all your SOL but rather a share of what you own and also you shouldn’t stake for too long. It’s quite interesting to see more staking opportunities on Bitget launchpool, i might as well just lock my BGSOL to get extra rewards especially now that my Solana account keeps dipping.

If you have been holding Sol for a year or more, instead of just leaving it in your spot wallet let it fluctuate, it would be better if you stake it and let it make more money for you while it fluctuates as for the estimated APR, the previous staking I did for IP was 60% and for Analog was 112% so I believe it would be something good since it won't cost me anything only give me more.

Interesting choice! Bitget Launchpool sometimes offers really profitable conditions. Are you considering staking as a long-term strategy, or are you experimenting with different opportunities?

This isn't a long-term staking that's why I actually took this risk it would be ending in a couple of days like I mentioned earlier.

We are talking about participation in PoS validation through an intermediary, as I understand it. So this is not ordinary staking, where you freeze cryptocurrency and receive profit after a while in pre-agreed percentages.

Have you heard of slashing? Everything that you stake can be taken as a penalty if you lose connection with the Internet or your validator starts doing malicious things. How much do you trust the intermediary in this regard?

As for me, it is better staking without headaches. Want a high income? Stake TRX through the Cryptomus wallet. Now Tron is growing and Solana is falling. Get 20% per annum plus profit from the growth of TRX.

interestinig method but don't like to get locked out and take out when I want to, if always provide earnings is good but still don't like the idea.

Staking is weird because YOU CANNOT TRUST ANYONE

Try becoming a Liquidity Provider for the Jupiter DEX

It pays 68% a year

It is not going anywhere
68% per annum from Jupiter DEX? Doesn't that level of return itself make you suspicious that a scam is brewing? Regarding your claims that DEXs cannot disappear, I have six pieces of evidence to prove you wrong:
  1. Security problems and hacks
  2. Insufficient liquidity: that's why Jupiter offers such huge interest rates
  3. Competition
  4. Technical problems and errors in the code
  5. Management problems and internal conflicts
  6. Regulatory pressure and legal problems

Can you really make money with SOL?

Let's take a closer look at the chart. Investors have lost 35% in a month, and this is just the beginning.

Now let's look at the Tron chart. Investors have earned 4% on TRX. Not much, but add to this almost 20% of earnings if you have a Cryptomus wallet. There is the largest size of the annual TRX rate. And there is no KYC when withdrawing up to certain amounts.

By the way, Bitcoin lost 8% in a month.
