Hello, I have some VAs who publish on my Facebook pages, but I would like to reduce this cost since there are third-party apps that can schedule my posts on Facebook.

The only problem is that I’ve read third-party apps may reduce a page's reach. I want to ask about this because some people say yes, while others say no.

So, my question is: Is this still a problem?

It might depend on your content and audience. I'd say it doesn't make big difference. Best to try it out and see how it goes for you

of course your post will be down, if it distributes well and has conversions then keep going

Thank you! Right now, my page is reaching almost 1 million people per day. That's why I was hoping to start using Publer or other Facebook management apps, but I was worried it might negatively affect my reach.

You are looking to reduce the cost of managing your Facebook pages and are considering using third-party apps to schedule posts. You are also concerned about whether these apps may reduce the reach of your page. Facebook has historically had algorithms that prioritize posts made directly on their platform. This means that posts scheduled through third-party apps may have reduced reach compared to direct posts. If you use a reputable third-party app and ensure that your posts are high-quality and engaging, using this app should not significantly impact the reach of your Facebook page.

Depending on the content of your posts. Facebook books distribution to your audience is broad or narrow so if you use a third party app to manage it, make sure all posts are quality posts.

FB's algorithms did penalize posts made through third-party applications, leading to reduced reach. However, Facebook implemented changes to address this issue. You could avoid it by doing these: Ensure that each post is optimized for Facebook's platform. Regularly check for comments and ms on your posts, responding promptly to foster community interaction

Third-party apps often reduce a Page's reach because they often don't guarantee quality and engaging posts.

Facebook's Algorithm: Facebook uses an algorithm to decide what content to show users. While using third-party apps doesn't directly reduce reach, if the content isn't engaging or doesn't get engagement, it can be weighted down in the algorithm.

  • Third-party apps no longer significantly reduce reach if used properly.
  • Facebook prioritizes engagement, so focus on high-quality content.
  • Avoid spammy behavior, and your scheduled posts should perform well.

The impact of third-party scheduling apps on reach depends on your content and audience, but the difference is usually small. Facebook's algorithm tends to favor direct posts, so scheduled posts might have slightly lower reach.
However, if your posts perform well and drive conversions, keep going. Using a reputable app with high-quality content should not significantly affect your page’s reach. It's best to test and see what works for you.

You can always test it out yourself.

In short, third-party scheduling tools don't really affect Facebook's reach anymore, as long as the tool is reliable and well-integrated. The key factor is still engagement—if your posts get interactions, they'll have good reach, even if scheduled through a third-party tool.

50/50 because even if you can use them facebook might have certain preferences with some third party apps, but usually they just block them, but if you are able to use and schedule your post there should not be any problem.

It depends on your content. Using a third-party app instead is a perfectly reasonable option if you want to save money. Regularly monitor how your app is performing, and adjust your strategy if necessary.

Some argue that using third-party apps can reduce a page's reach because Facebook's algorithm favors posts published directly on the platform. Some third-party apps may not fully comply with Facebook's guidelines, resulting in posts being restricted from showing up.
