Hey everyone,

I was wondering what actually happens if someone doesn’t pay off their Meta (Facebook) credit line or delays payment for more than six months after receiving an invoice. Do they just suspend your ad account, or can they take legal action? Has anyone experienced this firsthand?

Would love to hear any real stories or insights. Thanks!

Nothing, i have used a lot of credit line with 25k balance.

Nothing will happen to you, your account will be suspended

This is the most common consequence. Facebook will suspend your ad account until you pay the full amount owed. This means you will not be able to run any ads on their platform, affecting your business and marketing. In addition to suspending your ad account, Facebook may also impose other restrictions on your account, such as limiting your ad spend, reducing your ad exposure, or even locking your Facebook account.

I think the first thing I get from meta is that the account will be banned

I'm watching this thread to see how many of you can't run profitable facebook campaigns, if you need to rip off your main marketing channel source. lol.

We want to pay off the credit line, but not immediately as we are in financial trouble! Our credit line is 600,000 euros, and we plan to use it up to 600,000, then continue advertising on the cards, and pay off these 600,000 when we are able to.

Is there anyone with similar experiences?

If someone doesn’t pay their Meta (Facebook) credit line, they typically start with warnings and payment reminders. After continued non-payment, they may suspend or permanently disable the ad account. If the amount is significant, Meta could involve debt collection agencies, which might affect the person's credit score (depending on their country). In extreme cases, legal action is possible, though rare for small amounts. Some users have reported being banned from creating new ad accounts. Have you faced any payment delays, or are you just curious?

Our credit line are 600.000 :D
Temu has destroyed our business, and we are currently in a very difficult financial situation. We are unable to pay the 600,000 euros on the credit line at the moment, but we do not intend to avoid payment. We would like to pay it off in the near future through installments

If someone doesn’t pay off their Meta (Facebook) credit line, here’s what typically happens:

Ad Account Suspension: Your ad account will be restricted, preventing further ad spending until the outstanding balance is cleared.
Business Manager Restrictions: Meta may disable your Business Manager if multiple unpaid balances exist.
Debt Collection: After several months, Meta may forward the debt to a collection agency, which could impact your credit score (if applicable in your country).
Legal Action: While rare, Meta reserves the right to pursue legal action, especially for large debts.

Future Account Limitations: You may struggle to open new ad accounts under the same identity or payment method.
It’s best to resolve unpaid balances quickly to avoid long-term consequences.

How much time do we have to settle the balance? Is there an option for installment payments and the possibility of continuing to use the account with a credit card?

If you do this regularly, you are afraid of legal implications. You should rent a payment card from another person or company.

if it's small amount i think it's ok just suspend your account don't make it too big

If you don’t pay your Meta credit line, they will first suspend your ad account and prevent future ad spending. If the amount is significant, they may send the debt to collections, impacting your credit score. In extreme cases, legal action is possible, but it's rare. Many users report account bans but no legal pursuit. Always best to clear dues to avoid long-term issues.
