Not interested in the video but here is my point.
I think, the goal of tech is to allow you to be dumb on the aspects you are not interested in, and free you the time to focus on the areas you are good at.
Let' say, I have a calculator, then I am allowed to be dumb in mental arithmetic. I don't have to be good at calculating things with my mind. When I need, I can access to calculator everywhere, in your Laptop, phone, desktop.
Nobody will blame you on your mental arithmetic skill. It used to be a skill, but not anymore.
Now I can use my time on what I am really good at, to dive deep into my verticles and niche. And get smarter at it.
I think people always say that tech makes people dumb, is about half right. Everyone has their own verticles/industry/niche that they dive deep, and if technology makes it less effort for other people to know about their own niche, then they feel like "oh everybody should know this and that, it is so fundamental. Tech is dumbing us down". They assume everybody else should have the same goal or interest as they are, but it is not.
We were forced to be good at something that we should not invest time into, but tech free us from the unnecessary stuff.
I praise tech.
But if you are dumb on everything, then you are a born dumb-fuck, it is not tech's fault.
