Ever since stablecoins existed i don’t think they traders really realize profits from trading them. Imagine waking up to decide trading either USDC or USDT, profits is not guaranteed but tell me why SKY which was formerly known as MakerDao launched USDS its own stablecoin, deployed it on Ethereum and Solana and from what i saw, 12.50% APY is guaranteed for USDS holders.

What caught my attention at first was its total supply and I’ve seen its significant growth over the past months. This got me thinking if it’s worth giving a try or not. Personally, i must admit trading has been a little risky lately but if long term holdings seem like the best bet for now. Do you think i should hold my horse or trying won’t be bad at all ?

Of course IF you learn how to do it the right way from an expert that has results to show!

USDS offering 12.5% APY sounds tempting, especially with its recent growth. But gotta be careful—high yields usually come with risks. Gotta check how it's generating that return and if it can stay stable long-term. Could be worth a shot, but probably smart not to go all in.

It sounds like you're weighing the potential of USDS and whether its high APY makes it worth holding. The 12.5% APY is definitely attractive, especially for stablecoin holders who typically see lower yields. However, keep in mind that this kind of high yield could come with higher risks, especially with newer stablecoins. MakerDAO (now SKY) has a solid reputation, but since USDS is still relatively new, it's important to do more research on its backing, stability, and any potential risks that could arise.

If you're risk-averse, holding off might be a safer bet, but if you're open to trying something new and are comfortable with the possibility of volatility, it could be worth exploring as a long-term play. Just make sure you're comfortable with the risks and have done the necessary research on its future potential and security.

It’s interesting that SKY (formerly MakerDAO) launched USDS with a 12.50% APY, which is quite high for a stablecoin. While stablecoins are usually meant for stability rather than profit, an APY like that suggests some yield-generation mechanism behind it.

A few things to consider before jumping in:

Where is the yield coming from? High returns often come with higher risks. Make sure to understand how they sustain the 12.50% APY.

Smart contract risks – Since it's deployed on Ethereum and Solana, check if the contracts have been audited.

Liquidity & Adoption – The total supply growth is a good sign, but how easy is it to trade or redeem USDS?

If you’re thinking long-term, diversifying might be a safer approach rather than going all-in. If you do try it, maybe start small and monitor how it performs. What’s your risk toler
ance like?

The issue with these lower cap MC stablecoins is there’s a realistic risk of them depegging with your coins being locked up in a vesting period. Take a look at what happened to Terra, it went -99% basically overnight,

Honestly, stablecoins aren’t where you make big gains, but if you’re just holding, that 12.5% APY might be worth it.

A 12.50% APY sounds tempting, but it’s always good to dig deeper. High returns usually come with risks—have you checked how they’re generating that yield? If it’s sustainable and backed by solid fundamentals, it might be worth considering. That said, diversifying and not putting all your funds in one place is always a smart move. Have you looked into community discussions or audits on USDS?

based on where you live and considering the rate of inflation and bank interest rates , for most third world countries like sri lanka it is a fantastic investment

I have actually done my research on it and i decided to go for it but I didn’t invested a lot by the way

Seriously, it’s quite impressive to see that amount of APY on a stablecoin but i took the risk and invested a little bit of my portfolio.

With USDS offering guaranteed APY, it might be worth a try, especially if trading feels too risky right now. Maybe start small, see how it performs over a few months, and then decide. In my opinion, a cautious dip could be a good approach.

I would invest in stablecoins during the bear market, likely to start in 2026. But this year, nope

Buying stablecoins is generally not considered an investment . Unlike other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum, whose value can fluctuate significantly, stablecoins are designed to maintain a stable value, usually pegged to a reserve
