Many people say that in the early days of bitcoin it wouldnt have been a good idea to buy a large amount of bitcoin because of liquidity issues... many people have said it was risky because of low liquidity, how accurate is this statement?

bitcoin was one in a million case of success, no one expected this even I though in some point bitcoin will fail, I don't think only liquidity, people interested, the starting market, why you will invest in something you can't use at all later.

It makes sense. Selling would be hard if you buy and hold large amount. Because that much awareness and demand about Bitcoin was not there.

It would be hard to find out the data related to this. When Bitcoin started ,very less people talked about it.

But the whole idea of crypto would still exist, since it's been in development since the mid-80s.

The whole point of crypto is to give people the ability to transfer money without intermediaries.

Early BTC was like Monopoly money, nobody knew if it’d ever be worth anything

That's spot on. Nobody took BTC seriously in the early days

In fact it was given away. There were sites where you could get free bitcoins by just entering an address.
