Hi everyone, as the title suggests, I have a startup that raised a significant amount of money, and the new features we are going to implement are not yet done on any other site that I know of. I have just about the right connections (I am open to connecting with more). I am curious about your opinions or thoughts regarding the nature of my business, legality, payments, marketing, or anything at all starting and competing with the big players in the game such as OF, Fansly, etc.

I am open to hearing the things that need improvement on the user, creator, and agency sides or every angle possible.

Cheers.

payments is gonna be the hardest to implement stripe or other major providers dont like adult sites, you could try crypto but if ur competing with OF, crypto will hold you back drastically

How would crypto hold me back? Wouldn't that be a plus to have crypto as a payment method? I've done research online and it seems to be CCbill sounds like the most promising payment gateway as of right now.

What about payments how do you manage them? What platform you will be using?

Not many people are using it. At least no more than people using cc
true, how about if i add both crypto and cc wouldn't that reach a larger audience and make me seem "crypto-friendly" or a bit cheap or dodgy looking

Yeah, it would be a nice feature, tho the big ass $$$ will come from cc

perhaps ccbill since they handle the adult business and they are the most popular one but not as popular as stripe, etc. which is somewhat a drawback.

Put aside as much cash as you can for marketing. And put at least twice as much effort as you are putting into your core product into your marketing strategy. And I mean think outside the box! Good product is nothing without eyeballs on it and mouths talking about it. At least here, you are pitching benefits and features. Those are not that exciting! I know you are excited about them, but it's very hard to make other people care. Most people don't change their habits for "features", they do it because of hype, headlines, and mainly because their friends are telling them to.

If you want to disrupt a market leader, you need a lot more than just a better product. You need to come up with a way to get people talking about your product. Give them FOMO, give them something to gossip about, give lazy journalists something spicy to write about, get puritans outraged, get intellectuals and economists to write long-winded think pieces. Stand out!

Think about the most popular products in any consumer industry. Are the most popular brands really the brands offering the best features? Rarely. It's usually hype and brand image.

If you've gotten investors to give you cash, that's already a very good indication you are on the right track. Just keep selling the hell out of your idea and put as much effort and creativity into making it popular, not just building it.

You're right in every way. You can't sell a product even with the right features it's all coming down to marketing. Thanks that was helpful.
