I’ve been browsing through the forum and noticed that the blogging thread is located in the Blackhat SEO section. It struck me as a bit odd because I would have assumed blogging—at least in its traditional sense—would be more aligned with Whitehat SEO practices.

I get that some blogging strategies can lean into grey areas, depending on how they’re executed. But generally, blogging is a content-driven, long-term strategy, which is often the foundation of Whitehat SEO. So, why is it placed under Blackhat?

Yeah, that does seem a bit odd. Maybe it's because some blogging tactics can cross into the grey/blackhat territory, like PBNs or keyword stuffing?

is because more of the people try to do everything using the easy way, botting going all AI and posting thousand of of content without a sweat, almost no one is going whitehat or trying to work organically.

So I assume that there is nothing white hat about blogging. I've been doing it wrong the entire time!

I agree with the sentiment. Yeah, people will try to do everything the "easy way", but most obvious easy ways to do blogging are white hat: They involve working smart and not hard. And using an assortment of mechanisms to have the writing and content creation processes facilitated, and have the output be higher-quality, with much less time and effort spent on it.

Also, many noobs (and I mean absolute noobs) will barely even know how to build a website, use wordpress or set up hosting. For these people, getting acquainted with these basics steps, and then learning about how to setup a proper blogging workflow (and believe it: This is an entire art form in itself that can make or break the possibility of turning a blog into a business or not) would be the ideal course of action. Not jumping straight into botting, scripts, spamming, buying accounts and such.

I agree. The hardest part about keeping blogging whitehat is NOT spamming, scripts etc; especially at the beginning. I think the longetivity comes from keeping it clean at the birth of the project.

I agree with you. AI is taking over everything and everyone is trying to take advantage of it.
