Kinda want to go back to the time when the technology wasn't this advanced (first iphones).
It feels like if the modern internet/technology took the magic out of the world, because you can see everything in high resolution whenever and wherever you want, while being connected for 24/7 with the world.

I miss the time when everything was in low resolution and when most normies didn't care about computers or internet. I still remember the time when people looked at you like a weirdo, after the found out that you use the internet longer than 15mins.

Sometimes I feel the same way but other times I feel blessed to experience this transition. In 10 years we will probably miss what we have today, it’s a never ending cycle. Right now everything’s instant and it kinda kills that wonder. Funny how the internet got faster but the magic slowed down :D

My first mobile phone was like a brick and modems were dialup :)
You are still young I see, back in the days the phone booth was simple.

Reduce your screen time off-job, force it until you get used to it, and stick to strict rules,
There's a ton of sh*t that's ruining people's lives nowadays, in every moment and most aspects,
It's all about building & forcing a healthy routine over time, some minor changes added here and there could totally change your life/health

That was advanced.

I think around the first iPhone was a good time. You had cool technology, but it wasn't really mainstream (or at least in my area).
I don't know if I should feel happy or sad that I never experienced dial up :D

Tbh this is my dream. The more time I spend in the Internet, the more I hate it. Unfortunately you have no other choice as a dev, especially when you're trying to build something up :/

Way too advanced. let's go back to the time when touch-screen mobile devices are just a myth :)

Work ain't the problem, it's the rest of your time spent on watching useless reels, playing games for hours, etc...
A simple addictive way to get higher doses of dopamine, wasting your energy, separating you from reality & other useful activities,

Just take things easy, and progressively, forcefully, and aggressively making the changes will often fail, and you'll be back to square one in no time,
Set simple rules, like adding a new activity at once, replacing the screen time, 1 hour for 1-4 weeks strictly, once you're used, rinse and repeat

You're right, I'm wasting a lot of my time with bull@@. I noticed that I'm often trying to prevent being alone with my own thoughts by consuming content.

tech is advancing so fast, really amazing but unfrotunately is a sad true but everything is in some way linked to technology, unfortunately I also fall for it, because I need to have my cellphone and headphones if I'm going out of my home, tech already conquer us and we can't live without it, I mean we can but is difficult to avoid using it.

I want to sell my MSP and buy a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint.

Or maybe I'll just retire and grow apple trees.
