Ranking a .name domain

Can any of you guys tell me how hard it would be to get a .name ranked up close to its .com domain

In my opinion .com's just work better, its just so much better to have one for offline marketing as well.

Would you prefer "google.name" or "google.com"

Its pretty obvious which one everyone would choose.

It depends on how competitive the market. If a .com is available buy it as it is more professional looking and will help in getting more conversions. Truly the best thing to do is test.

I am finding .com more friendly than others... Dont know why but I never have problems with .com and many problems with others...
Maybe its just bad luck...

I have yet to see a .name on google. I think i've never visited one either.
