The fact that scammers have been using its metrics to spread misinformation for years, using it as a scam business model makes it even worse

Ahrefs? But I find Ahrefs is more effective for backlink analysis than Semrush. but the pricing is too high. if we compare overall Semrush is better than Ahrefs. Despite we can't count Ahrefs as an overhyped mate!

I disagree mate. I find Semrush is super cool if compared with others. And the pricing gis too much as Ahrefs.
