I want to ask the community about keyword research on youtube, you know how for a website you plug in the keywords into Ahrefs and you get a long list of keywords for you to analyze and target. When it comes to youtube channels how can we apply that knowledge and get keywords of a youtube channel?

For YT keyword research, it’s not exactly the same as with websites like Ahrefs, but you can still get solid insights. First off, use https://www.tubebuddy.com/ or https://vidiq.com/, these are two of the best tools for Youtube keyword research. They help you find keywords based on what’s already working for other channels, and you can even analyze competitor channels to see which keywords are getting the most traction. You can also use Youtube's autocomplete feature (just start typing a keyword in the search bar) to see what people are actually searching for in your niche. Another cool trick is using https://trends.google.com/ and filtering it for Youtube to check out trending search terms. Lastly, don't sleep on https://ahrefs.com/ or https://www.semrush.com/ either, since they can give you a rough idea of what’s ranking for Youtube videos even though they’re more geared for websites. But basically, you want to mix tools and strategies to see what’s popping and what people are actively searching for in your niche.
