Hey guys!

I'm going to start ebaying in order to finance my various projects.

Since I live in Scandinavia, I won't be able to sell products to US residents.

I created an ebay and paypal account by using a name & address generator.

My plan is when a sale has been finalized and I've got money on my account - I will transfer it to my personal account.

Hopefully it will be around 1-2k/month -> not so suspicious.

Questions:
My account holder is based in Miami, FL. Same goes for Paypal.

Would it be possible to place the item location in china/hong kong?

Because the shipping date is 2 weeks - most costumers would be quite upset if it said "item location: USA".

Thanks

Yeah, when you list items you can enter in the item location.

Correct. I sell most of my products out of China even though I live in the United States.

You can play with it. Mine says "Ships Fast from, China" and I know similar people who set their locations as "United States and, China" however, that is risky, because like you said, people are going to get upset after more than 4 or 5 days.

The problem you might have is PayPal withholding your money for 21 days. If you are wanting the money to actually purchase the goods from someone else, and then send to U.S. Based Customers, then you will have to create a kind of "reserve amount."

Thanks guys for the fast replays!

Time to get terapeak and research :)

Do they keep the money for 21 days if they suspect illegal activities, or is that something they do to new members?

basically its for new members.....dunno exactly what amount of feedback is reqd to bypass the the 21days hold....cn anyone answer that?

feedback score of 10 or 5 (with credit card linked) .

if u are ID verified, u can even do 1 day listings without the 21 day hold. ID verification applies only to US though. but of course there are ways to route around it lol.

I had a chat with Ebay representative today for the same.
For US,CA,UK and Ireland, he told me that they analyse the account every 90 days and then decide whether to keep the limit or not.

So,in short,i'd suggest the person above my post to post correct information, or DO NOT post if you dnt knw it.

for the person above who does not know what i am talking about, correct ur own post.

DO NOT post when u dunno what i am talking about. go to ebay if u are so newbie about it.

Info on 1 day listings and requirements on ebay site : http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/1-day.html#what

PS : and people, learn NOT to buy things from ppl who cannot afford to have a BST

The 21 day hold is essentially eBay/PayPals way of withholding money to collect an interest from their total amount held by hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of users. Expect ALL of your payments to be withheld, that way you are never disappointed.

It turned out to be a good thing for a lot of the more savvy people on eBay. People who couldn't afford to purchase the products they were dropshipping themselves were soon pushed out of business. I was lucky in the fact that I have a high enough profit margin that it wasn't hard for me to save my profits to build a reserve account within PayPal. I also have backups now, because just Having money in your PayPal account, not to mention, anything over $1200, can increase the chances of having the funds frozen due to PayPal's "Safe Freeze Algorithm" - which again, is PayPal's way of gaining interest from our funds.
