How did they cloak this site???

I was given a hint a few weeks ago that one of my competitors was running cloaking software to get his site up to the top spot for the keyword "erectile clinic"

You can see erectileclinic.com is the number one spot. These guys came out of nowhere and if you look at them on market samurai you'll see they have 0 backlinks, the domain is brand new.

How do I figure out what methods they're using?

Better yet.... how do I duplicate it?!?

"Erectile Clinic" is of very low competition. Since they have their keywords in the URL then I do not think they would need any backlinks to rank #1 for that keyword!

What yousefgreat is saying is. Organically the URL will point to that.

I tell my customers the same thing.
So if you want to be listed as "Bobs LA Auto Repair" the easiest way to rank is by buying www.bobslaautorepair.com, net, etc....

The hard thing is getting known for keywords not in your URL.

It's SUPER Easy.

If you put in "erectile clinic" into quotes right now in Google, you'd see that this thread you made is already number 4.

The keyword is very easy to rank high in.

If you go to Google and type:

intitle:"erectile clinic"

You'd see barely any results.

So if you made a website using domains ErectileClinic.net or .org (both available) and order a social bookmarking service for like $5-10:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/74618-social-bookmark-service-8-125-submissions.html

You'd be in the top 5 positions within 2-3 weeks.

I guess I didn't realize how easy that keyword was. I outsource all of my seo work and I have a client that pointed this site out to me so I just assumed it was cloaked.

What do you guys use to analyze competition like this?

I use market samurai and I'll look at the top ten sites' domain age, backlinks and PR just to see how difficult a market will be and this one has a lot of higher PR and older domains in the top ten so I just assumed it would be difficult. Do you guys use any other tools or have any other suggestions for figuring out how hard it would be to dominate a keyword with this tactic of creating a relevant domain?

basically,i only use allintitle:keyword to determine whether or not a keyword is low-compete.

Yes ,its very easy to rank website if you have same keywords in URL .with just 2-3 good backlinks your site can rank top without any fluctations
