Many say that it was impossible to buy bitcoin in 2009 but then why did I see a new liberty standard exchange archive page showing them selling 100 usd of bitcoin in late 2009? Was this the first official exchange selling bitcoin or was it otc transactions only?

You could buy bitcoin in 2009, wasn't easy but some early miners were selling on forums.

The could have been scammers, I remember sending $40 in bitcoin to someone in 2014, they promised to double it and return it. These scams were popular then.
