Hey guys, I just have one question since I'm not sure: Should each child account be on a different phone with a different SIM/proxy? Thanks!

Short answer, yes. Ideally, you have them on different devices whenever possible and use different residential IPs for them if you're accessing the child accounts at the same time. All that mostly to throw off IG's anti bot system and make your access look as organic as reasonably possible.
No. You can have several accounts on 1 phone using app cloner etc even up to 50/100 accounts per phone.

Thats would be great tbh, can you recommend good app cloner for android?
Is there an advantage in it being less likely to get banned compared to using app cloner?

Teoretically yes, practically there is a way to clone the IG app and have tens of accounts on the same phone.
