Would be very appreciative if anyone could share their knowledge on IG account bans relating to OF promotion.

Was building 4 instagram accounts organically for a girl. No nudity, nothing revealing. Just gamer girl content & pg cosplay. Legs and midriff at the most, no bra or panties on show.

Was going well for 1-2 months, gaining on average 100 followers a day, some reels got shown to non followers & gained 6-7k views. There was also very high engagement on each reel & post.

To gain followers we were doing the follower / unfollow method of around 100-150 accounts each day. However, we weren't actually unfollowing accounts just yet, we were slowly going to do that in the future. The majority of people we followed, followed back.

Obviously lots of messages in each accounts inbox and we responded normally to most of them. Around 1 month in we put her 'allmylinks' url in her profile. We also responded to people in DM's with the URL. We didn't message anyone who didn't message us first.

Maybe 1 week after this all accounts got permanently banned with no appeal. Annoyingly my personal instagram account which i've had for 11 years also got permanently banned with no option of appeal. The girls personal account was suspended but had her's reinstated after the option to appeal was followed.

Additional note - her ex bf runs an OF agency & wanted her to join him. Since she left him, she received threats when he saw her new instagram profiles. She said he has many phones and many IG accounts, as well as photos of her ID. Could this have possibly led to the accounts we created being banned.

Thank you for any info regarding this, it will be very much appreciated.

You wrote the answer yourself. Your personal account was banned as well - either too many accounts connected or the boyfriend mass reported you and your girl accounts.

Thank you for your answer.

So it's possible if four accounts are connected but posting different content, it can lead to a perma ban?

Also a mass report can lead to a permanent ban as well? Is there anyway to avoid this in the future

Thank you

A few years ago, someone created a fake account using one of my friend’s details. We contacted IG support, provided the reason as 'FAKE ACCOUNT,' and submitted an ID proof along with a few real pictures. So, it’s possible that, as you mentioned, he runs an agency and did something similar .... reporting the real account with a fake one and sending some documents to IG support. Plus, as an agency owner, he might have some direct contacts there too.

Ah that would be very unfortunate. I could email in with a photo of herself, her I.D and the current date written on a piece of paper and maybe explain the situation but I'm not sure if that will overturn a perma ban. Hopefully he can't keep doing this with any future accounts we open

This! The acclunts were linked. Even if the insta allows 5 accs with same link, adult link tend to threated more agressivelly by IG.

Yes he can. Just make sure he doesn't find out the other accs.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Be sure to use a different name and block his account, along with all associated accounts.

Thank you both for your thoughtful advice. I was actually thinking along the same lines, though I believe he’ll likely notice soon, through one of his many accounts, as his girls and the one I’m working with fall within the same niche

There TOS doesn't allow direct links to OF pages. You can have a landing page which is allowed. That being said, when your posting reels regarding your model, she still has to follow certain content guidelines which are acceptable to post. That is what agencies are doing to keep the profiles safe.

It sounds like you're describing a scenario where an account might get banned due to suspicious activity, like linking too many accounts or getting mass reported by others. If your personal account was banned, it could indeed be because of these factors — especially if multiple accounts are using the same IP or proxies, or if the accounts are flagged for suspicious interactions.
