Scrapebox: How I keep Akis*met from banning my domain

Hello everyone

This is a short tutorial that will hopefully help you in stopping Akis*met from banning the domain of your money sites thus not throwing your comments into spam.

Quite easy to do so lets get started.

I use url shorteners instead of my root domain since shorteners use a 301 redirect to pass link juice to your domains.

At first, I did my urls shortening by hand until I found

http://www.fwdlinks.com

This site allows you to enter a list of urls, pick your shortening service and have your urls shortened automatically for you giving you as many shortened urls as you might need.

Please note: If you want to have a ton of different urls for the same domain name just input like this:

http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com
http://mydomain.com

Then choose a shortener from the drop down that will give you different links each and every time like

http://alturl.com
or http://cli.gs

Bit.ly gives you the same url UNLESS you are doing deep linking into your money site since all the urls are different.

Using this method, you can have 100s of different shortened urls all passing link juice from different domains and should pass Akis*met just fine

Nice share. How do you verify that a shortener is using the 301 redirect, and not another type of redirect?

If you visit the shortening service, it usually tells you but here is a short list to get u started

Or usually on the service itself, it will have a FAQs page that tells you how it works and what redirect it uses like so:

I tried this with some of them and they all give the same URL. Since the reason we are doing this is to hide from aki*s*met a single repeating URL, you need to get different URLs pointing at the same URL.

Thanks for the share, the mass url shorter service is worth a lot it save more time in getting unique url and can be used for twitter marketing.

How is it still passing linkjuice with a redirect? I find it hard to believe you're still getting any juice. Maybe traffic but not juice....

There are 3 main types of redirects:
303 - regular redirect
302 - temporary redirect
301 (which is what this is) - a permanent redirect.

When google sees a 301 redirect, it knows the url will ALWAYS go to the specified redirect, and will pass link juice through it. It's basically like a website that changes its URL system to different pages, so the pages are the same.

Hmmm just did a run of about 50 blogs, using multiple urls from http://alturl.com, a variety of names and emails and of course lots of proxies. At the end I commented on a blog I own.

It seems that Ak*i*smet detected it as spam. Trying to figure out why.

For starters since I used free proxies that maybe the reason, if too many people use them for commenting then it's probably the reason. But even if you use private proxies, the number you can buy should be small compared to the ammount of comments you need to post. Therefore it is expected to have multiple comments coming from the same proxy ip.

What do you think?

2. Paying $299 for 200 private exclusive proxies is not an option for many.

This issue alone makes mass posting to wordpress and other akismet blogs rather pointless as far as i can tell.

It is a god bless that akismet doesn't come activated by default. I have used wordpress for years on so many installations and only activated akismet one time. I think less than 10% of blog owners have akismet or any other plugin activated. and out of the 90% you can find less than 20% having any kind of captcha on comment form so god bless comment spam

From my experience its exactly the opposite!

Yeah, I think 90% of Wordpress users not having Aki*s*met activated is somewhat high. I would say around 60% of them probably have it switched on, if not more than that.

This is really interesting. I have never bothered with akismet on my blogs. Also I dont try to get backlinks from blogs either so its never been a problem. But I will be targetting blogs in the near future so this info is great.
