Does Scrapebox Need Proxies

here is what I will be doing on a daily basis

1. Finding competitor back links
2. Using the ping feature
3. using the rapid indexer..

Do I really need to buy those premium proxies?

what do you hope to achieve with the 3 steps you mentioned... I always use proxies as the constant requests from your own ip will upset the big G! so using proxies helps for that reason...

1. yeah sorry i should have explained better - finding them is usefull but what can scrpebox do that yahoo explorer can't when looking for backlinks?

2. what services can scrapebox ping to to gain hits (?youtube)

3. i though scrapebox only commentedon blogs which is why i never bothered as blogs will get indexed themselvs, the only other thing i would index is profile backlinks but you need xrummer for that...

You know I used the ping feature on SB and it has worked wonders..lately i've have been having very low success rates....it says my IP got blocked I too need to go buy proxies but the ping feature on SB has helped many of my sites achieve the first page of the big G and mainly is a daily routine when i use SB

Can you elaborate a bit more on this feature? Is there someone whom I can hire (who owns scrapebox) to do the job for me?

I've had a fair few problems with people emailing me the stats with my own IP even though I'm using SB proxies, shows that they aren't all that bullet proof.. I think I'll be buying private ones to use with it.

Honestly, I would say for the most part it doesn't. The ones that it harvests within its own program are great. Let's say they don't have a very high success rate while posting, just save all the failed ones, and repost using the same proxies.

Proxies helps you hide your ip, It also allows you to have multiple ping origination that is likely to appear that hits are from everywhere. It's important to use proxies to improve success rate specially if you are aiming to get your site index or improve SERPS

you dont need proxies for the bottom 2,
and the top one, (harvesting)
set the delay to 10 seconds.

try it and see how it goes

are you using cable or what type of broadband etc.

this is relevent because some isp's give you a statric ip address, and some give you rotating ip addressees,

so if you have broadband (whatever) where you connect/disconnect etc you isp assigns an ip address each time you connect, which is usually a slightly different one out of a block of ip addressses

but if you have cable, and do not connect/disconnect, and have a static ip address, then it will always be the same,
you can usually change this by going in to your settings and changing it to a rotating ip address, it will only change slightly as it will still be out of the same block of ip addressess


your (or anyones) ip address can quite often appear in a spam list , although its nothing to do with you, its just that someone else using the same isp has used the same ip address from the same block of ip addresses that your isp assigns

I have a broadband connection. But my ISP always assigns ISP address which changes only in the last few places.

e.g AAA.BB.CC.XX (Only the XX place changes every time I connect)

So we need proxies only if we are scraping Google for links? Wont free proxies work?

no you dont just need proxies to scrape google for links, but that was the only thing he needed it for in that list,

i.e. sites can ban by ip address, so this would be used for posting, but he wasnt posting, and this is few and far between so its not worth worrying about.

these are free proxies that scrapebox gets, theres nothing wrong with them, except they have limited use, but theyre free,

when you ping them, it ends up in their awstats or what not and then you use the indexer to get those pinged stat pages indexed?

hey question for you or anyone else that has an answer to this...
when you are pinging the backlinks of your competitors for ref spamming or refferer spamming things like awstats, what if they dont have awstats enabled? or if they configure it to not be indexable.
am i not understanding something here?
do you find this works anyways?

someone please shed some light on this.
