Sometimes I see binance offering like 20-30% returns for holding some coin. What is strange that they do this for new coins also. Can these coin teams be paying binance to do this ?
We can’t know for sure, but most likely—yes, they are paying. It’s a marketing trick, and if the project has sufficient funds, why not?Sometimes I see binance offering like 20-30% returns for holding some coin. You put in nicely and I believe this meme coins and rest pump and dump is all scam and there is rare people that are winnersRemember you get 20-30% of return in that specific coin, not in USDT!
So it all depends on the time of locking and what will the price be?
Lets say Before the Binance listing, the coin's price was $1. After the listing, the price skyrockets, and you buy the coin on Binance at $3.
You decide to lock your coins for 1 month with a promised return of 30%
At the end of the locking period, you receive 30% more coins.
After 1 month you have 130 coins.
Let’s say the coin's price drops 40% during this month due to market corrections. usually happens after Binance listing
The price falls from $3 to $1.80.
You now have 130 coins, but at a price of $1.80 per coin.
Total value = 130 coins × $1.80 = $234
You originally invested 100 coins × $3 = $300
Even with a 30% return in coins, the price drop means you lost money overall
You put in nicely and I believe this meme coins and rest pump and dump is all scam and there is rare people that are winners
