How did you manage to get your first client as a beginner?

Hello there!
I learned SEO 1 and 6 months ago by creating my first blog. I`ve never worked for anyone and I wanted to ask y`all how do you get your first client?
I tried on Fiverr and Upwork but nobody wants my services

Did you show them your site and your earnings and traffic statistics on your gigs so they could base their decision on that? Its easy to talk the talk, but can you prove it?

Create a website in a small niche and work on ranking it. Build a portfolio without one, it’s difficult to gain trust from potential clients or partners.

I got my first serious client from facebook local group comments
There were a small group around IM in my native language and I was commenting on almost all posts back in day providing value not spamming them and then one person contacted me saying that he wanted to build something. It was programming job but this could be applied for seo and other services also.

I don`t because I didn`t document my experience with my website...

I wasn't doing fake it till you make it l.in reality I was just responding to questions to be helpful and I didn't had an intention to get clients at the moment technology was just a passion for me and I was graduating in medicine school.
