Why do people use emulators and software over devices for Instagram growth?

From my personal experiences with the people whom I've talked to who go that way, are the peeps who are not very familiar with autmations etc, ie are a bit new. So obviously tend to go for the easier way. Thinking to avoid all the hassle of phone-farm etc. And the people who go for phone-farm, are generally the experienced ones, who've mostly tried and tested majority of the software, and are bit serious for putting efforts in order to make things work, instead of giving up and looking for the next easy shiny thing.

I am so frustrated. I literally just bought a new laptop to use with mobile proxy & emulator.. all bc people here on BHW recommended it. Why are people recommending me things that will fail? is that the trend here at BHW?
i come here for help, and leave with bad advice. why? do people here like to see others fail?
is this a gatekept forum? all i want is help, which is what i thought this forum was for. Nobody can provide one solid answer for any topic, everybody says the exact opposite things of each other.
starting to think I'm being fuckin punked. where are the cameras man? dammit. c'mon dude.
SO, EMULATORS OR NATURAL PHONE? if natural phone, what would you pair with proxy? how would you hide your fingerprint? anti detect? isn't that the same general idea as emulator? dying here...
Because BHW is filled with many proxy sellers, on phone farms people mostly use real sim cards and not proxies, so If you went that way, you might not be purchasing proxies from them. Hence the advice. You should do your due diligence. But still, nothing is lost yet, still for phone farm you need a PC, so you could use your laptop for that.

MY GOAL IS TO GROW A MAIN NICHE ACCOUNT, AND SEVERAL ACCOUNTS SUPPORTING THAT NICHE OF THE MAIN ACCOUNT (lifestyle pg, community pg, meme pg,)
-I AM LOOKING TO HAVE THESE SAME PAGES YEARS FROM NOW, SO GETTING DELETED TIME AND TIME AGAIN IS A BIG NO FOR ME.

As I've previously said, you are ovethonking it.
I will make a quick top for what's safest:.
1. Phone + Sim + mobile data
2. Phone + empty sim + Mobile Proxy
3. EMULATOR + Mobile Proxy
4. Software + Mobile Proxy
5. Brkwser + Mobile Proxy
Safest way to grow an account is to act natural don't test limits with follow/like/comments etc. + pist original posts.
Any other way lf automation, even manually it MIGHT make your account to be banned, tjere is no guaranteed. For experience people this is called churn and burn and move on. If you grow it naturally in time woth patience, your acc will be safe, otjer way, expect to have your accs blocked, banned, verified etc.

-I will grow my main accounts naturally with option 1.) on phone with sim and data. raw dog.
-I will use one of the other methods to make accounts with the sole purpose of automation through various methods, natural, and Blackhat. since they will not be my main accounts, i will not be worried about them getting deleted.
Scenario
-if i am flagged for abuse on one of the advertising accounts that i use to drive leads to my landing page (main account), would the main account be flagged/deleted too? if so, what are some methods you would recommend? I can get creative, now that my mind is calm and settles since you helped put it as ease.

Emulators are used because it's well known that Instagram works much better on mobile than desktop, then, people want to make Instagram think they are using it from a mobile phone

Emulators can be detected in seconds by any Android/iOS developer.
I remember I was doing app with cash reward in 2017. People were getting paid for watching ads and doing offers, like many of apps like that in Google Play.
It was easy to detect any emulator with just in built Android SDK features. More advanced stuff was detecting how CPU act in C libraries. x86 CPU vs ARM CPU were acting so different.
Don't forget, that social media apps like Instagram are hiring teams of really experienced security researchers and coding engineers to fight with emulators.
If single person like me was able to detect 99% emulators, what the team of 30 engineers can do if they receive $100k/year just for findinging emulators

i enjoy hearing about peoples experience in the vast industry. I am trying to learn about cybersecurity, as well as Marketing, Digital marketing, SMM so that i can handle all of these things for my businesses when i start them. (I'm currently in school, almost done, actually taking marketing right now).
I plan to be handling all of that as well as every other aspect of running a business, until i can afford to outsource specialists.
Anyway, thanks a lot, ill definitely be writing that down!

Creating and running a phone farm is expensive compared to software, that's why. Everybody here already has a computer for the most part.
Why would you buy a new laptop for this instead of using the one you have until you see how it works? Actually if you're going to use it for automation why even get a laptop and not a cheaper desktop?

Phones with Sim and Mobile Data are the safest thing out there, less headaches, less stress, less worries etc, You can use max 5 accounts per phone.
Natural Phone always, use real sim cards so you dont have to worry about proxies anymore.

Just a dumb question, how do you handle 5 accounts? Login/Logout each time you need to use that account?

Here is what I dont understand: Why use mobile proxy at all, when they often are $80 for 25GB and I get a data plan at my mobile provider for $25 for 20GB? Is there something I dont see?
As you wrote in another thread, if you put the phone in flight mode for some seconds, you will get a new IP adress, so you can also use it with more than one Instagram profile, even on a normal data plan. For that reason, I kind of dont see the advantage for mobile proxies?
