Simple SEO Question

I have a very simpley SEO question,
So I have:
Website 1 (main money site)

Website 2 (joe's blog about how great web. #1 is )
website 3 (Same as #2 and soo on for all other sites..)


If I want google to see the back links leading to website 1 from my other sites, Does it make a difference on how many of my pages I have links going to my main site? or will it not make a difference in Website #1's PR?

( On one landing page there is 1 link to my site/ On another lading website, there are 100 pages each with a link to my site)
Do they both act the same, or is the second scenario mroe benefical?

Building backlinks to your #2 and #3 site will help boost your money sites PR and ranking ....

If your looking to get backlinks to your money page , I recommend you build *quality* links like articles and press releases that link directly to your #1 site

Ezinearticles for articles .... PRlog . org for press releases .... But seriously use the search feature on BHW and google.... you can learn alot

Think of your #2 and #3 as buffer sites... if you get a large number of backlinks to #2, 3, then overall worth of the links from #2-3 going in to #1 increases.

You can concentrate on getting high PR links in to #1 (quality) and lower quality (but higher quantity) on #2 and 3

Sitewide links are a bad idea - very obvious to G. Stick to one link to your site. But always keep your link profile natural. ie mixed-up
