More Empirical Data From MY SEO Lab

The timing is probably just luck and the new Google... it is supposed to be a lot faster at indexing... and as far as I can tell it is.

on my new sites it seems to index em very quickly. Most of em didnt even have backlinks, the sites weren't pinged, and me and my partner dont have google toolbar so who knows how they found the sites to index em. I was thinking maybe they are spidering the newly reg'd domain sites. Or maybe since they are a registrar, they get notified of new reg'd domains? Whatever it is I guess that's why they call it caffeine lol.

Many thanks for your generous information.

I am very interested in learning how to set up a site to test the html tags like your other thread.

If you could provide me with any data on this I would appreciate it.

I was thinking about setting up a cheap hostgator acc or similar then optimising for a random string of numbers and letters on each page using each tag on each page and using place holder text such as the lorum etc.

Will this work?

:)

Its easier than that... If you read my other threads I provide the source code for the HTML tests for free. One of my threads mentions HTML Source in the title... thats the one you want.

You truely are very generous.

Thanks a lot for your contributions. Would love to geek it out and get a budget where I am for testing. I tried PM'ing you but didnt have enough posts lol.

I am also hoping to get involved with some SEO research with some of the big agencies / Institutes here in the UK.

thanks for all this info ipopbb,

your threads are awesome. One thing I have been a bit slow at doing is using canonnical links. You say to use them judiciously.
Can I ask why? and would you use canonical on pages that are not similar at all but still tuned for same keyword?

The info you provide is like a revelation in front of what is commonly said (i.e. backlinking were way more effective than keyword stuffing); thanks for sharing your knowledge!
