With the upcoming Trump's inauguration and the first 100 days in office as well as 2 Fed meetings for rate cuts in late January and March, the crypto world will be volatile to say the least in Q1.

Clearly to the upside though as the bullish environment is just too favorable to bet the other way.

So far I've selected these 4 altcoins that I have major exposure on.

- DOGE simply because you just never bet against Elon Musk.

- XRP because of the underlying financial tech and even more simply as an XRP founder you just do not hang out randomly with Eric Trump for no reason.

- SOL as a better solution to Ethereum in the medium to long term.

- SUI simply for technical reasons, its chart just looks too good for price appreciation.

I expect overall a 50 to 200% return from those four in Q1.

I may also add a few smaller cap ones, I'm just not gambling and do not want to select randomly or light hearted so there has to be a good story behind each pick.

Damn! I need to hurry and get some crypto.

Solid picks, especially DOGE and XRP for their hype and connections. SOL and SUI make sense for the tech and chart setups. Smaller caps could add higher returns, but yeah, research is key, good luck with your Q1 strategy

This one has already started going parabolic, 25% up since when I posted this 36 hours ago.

Main reason is crypto SEC chair skeptic Gensler is out and the new crypto friendly SEC chair is coming in post Trump inauguration.

A lot of analysts see $8 as a price target but if XRP ETFs come through this year, you never know how up it's gonna go.

The crypto market will spill into NFT marketplaces and Metaverse again. Im eyeing Mana since XRP is no longer thirty cents. Id like to see a small cap coin with a solid project that I can buy huge volume of coins early after its ico stage.

Solid choices all found, though i feel like SOL, SUI and XRP have made quite the upward movement’s already. Both SOL & XRP are near their previous ATHs.

XRP already made a 6X, if you bought before November, good for you, if not, don't waste your time investing in it From now, in the best scenario, it will just reach a new ATH (not even a 2X from here) and that's it. High risks, low rewards compared to other coins.

You guys have literally HUNDREDS of options, but instead of buying coins that didn't pump yet, you are thinking about buying one of the earliest coins that have already pumped. It doesn't make sense. Forget XRP, forget HBAR and move on to other coins that didn't pump yet, there are plenty of options.

Buy some AI, RWA, Gaming, DeFI, Layer 1 coins (just some examples) and aim for a 5X-10X like buying XRP in October

I'm pretty certain you have not been following what's really happening with XRP in the last couple weeks or so.

There is a reason it has overtaken BTC in Google searches as unreal as this sounds.

With that said, your statement of it not being possible to make even a 2x from $2.50 is ignorant to say the least. This is akin to say Solana is done when it went from $4 to $20 just because it pumped a lot.

And all this is before even XRP possible ETFs come through this year.

I'm not exactly looking for "lottery tickets" right now although that's a valid strategy for some.

But, like I mentioned on my original post I have major exposure on the altcoins mentioned there which are mid cap so to speak. So a 3x or 4x return equals to a 50x return of a low unknown coin because I would never put that much cash on an unknown thing that can go to zero.

Bro, there are so many wrong thoughts in these four lines...

1) XRP is not $2.50. It's touching $3.30 and when I wrote it was $3. And those few cents are relevant, the ATH is coming.

2) XRP has almost $200B marketcap. Your comparison with SOL does not make any sense, because even right now SOL does not have this HUGE market cap. When it was $10 (I won't even talk about $4 as you mentioned), its marketcap was like 20 times lower than XRP. You are behaving like XRP will surpass $1T marketcap and will continue pumping indefinitely and the money will never flow into other coins and narratives.

3) Yes, there is a huge reason. The major reason is: XRP is the first one to pump hard. When other coins start to FOMO, the same will happen with them, of course not overtaking BTC in Google searches, because they won't be so big and mainstrem as XRP, but they will also create this FOMO. Hedera is the same thing, people are thinking this coin will completely destroy their past ATH and go to $5, which makes zero sense as well. There are tens (or even hundreds) of other great projects that will receive their deserved attention.

I'm talking about Top 100 coins, not shit from Pump.Fun
Or do you think that NEAR, FET, ICP, RENDER, etc are ''low unknown'' coins that can go to zero? Those are billionaire coins, major names in the AI narrative, just to give you an example about what I'm talking about.

---------------------------------------------

XRP may reach $5, from now this is less than a 2X. Why would I buy it if I can buy an AI coin that didn't make a 5-8X in the last few months like Hedera, Stellar and XRP?

Sorry, I'm not blindly FOMO in HBAR, XLM and XRP, their narrative simply pumped first, the money will flow into other narratives soon, those coins are not special and they won't keep pumping until they replace Bitcoin and reach trillionaire numbers, not at all, money will soon move to other great big coins.

$2.50 when I posted, this is what matters.

Was an example to drive the point home. Market cap matters yes.

XRP has the potential to change the global payment system forever. With Gensler out of the way in the SEC now, doors open. This is why HBAR is pumping hard too which I also added today.

This is not a thread to argue, you can just mention what you invest in specifically and your reasoning behind it. Neither you nor I know what will happen in the future. I explained my reasoning in this thread and I do trust it because I have a good record trading crypto in the short-term and when charts do agree with the macro views on a coin, then I'm pretty confident in my picks.

I'm also open to how others see things and I do not dismiss them. Do not blow this thread up by arguing. If you want to explain your picks and your exact reasoning behind it, I'm all ears.

consider putting a small percentage of your portfolio on projects with high risk but the possibility of having a high return.

Is Elon Musk still promoting doge ? I do not see enough tweets from him for this coin ? How is he promoting then ? Is he promoting in some other platform ?

He follows the Shibetoshi Nakamoto account which I believe is the owner's or cofounder's X account.

He's been friendly to the coin in the past.

There is a rumor that if X implements payments this year both BTC and DOGE will be accepted.

He'll be playing an active role in the Trump administration in the Department Of Government Efficiency, D.O.G.E. He did not name this by accident. The DOGE acronym will be getting advertised a lot these 4 years and this will further assist the coin.

I am just connecting the dots.

What is his intention in promoting doge ?

I do not know that but if I am to guess I think he just likes it, as a matter of personal preference.
