Hello,

What do you do when you have a nice bunch of keywords stuck between the 20th and 30th position?

I look forward to hearing your answers.

it depends on niche, keywords, competition, your site's SEO...

Usually, it's either a matter of content improvement or link building, but there could be differences or exceptions, we would have to analyze your site, your niche + keywords, and your competition...

You could start by pointing a few internal links (4-5) from other pages within the same silo / category, with exact and partial match anchors. This sometimes pushes you up the rankings... maybe not to page 1, but a few spots at least.

And, of course, you do need external backlinks to the page of those keywords as well so you can up its authority...

But again, these are general guidelines, the solution could be totally different, we don't know until we know more about the aforementioned things...

Thank you for your answer.
These are some collection pages of an online store.
The store has a DA of 25 and is 3 years old.
The collections have a competition that is low according to semrush <20.
The internal linking is ok.
We have blog articles that rank and have an internal link to the collection.
Our page speed is 90 on mobile and 100 on computer.
Of course, the collections have backlinks. Maybe not the best quality, nor with big DA.

You can improve content quality, add linking keywords, and fix content errors to see if the content improves.

Check the reason why Google ranks others in higher positions for the same keyword.

Unless the niche is very tough, when you're that back, it's mostly a content and on-page issue which as you rightly pointed out includes internal linking. Also overall website authority can be a factor.

Improve your content and interlink properly to the page.

hmm... everything seems OK.

The only thing I can think of is the collections page might not be optimized for any keyword, or it could also be that your site's overall authority is low (which, at 25 DA is kind of low if the sites ranking in top 10 have way more authority than you)

Also, DA is not very reliable, especially when it's so low. If it was DA 70+ we could have drawn some conclusions, but you can get to DA 50 pretty fast and easy with just a few redirects. So, use DR next time as it's a bit more reliable...

But yeah, now that I think about it, DA 25 is pretty weak, I think that is your main issue in general... Point 10-20 quality (PBN / niche edit) links to your homepage with branded anchors and I think your pages will get a ranking boost

For you, is it very important to get high DA and high DR to rank ?

it's not for me, it's google that rewards spam and authority so you want to focus on either of these 2 if content doesn't cut it which - in your case - might be the case as collection pages don't have lots of content normally, so there's not much to work with...

Thank you for your valuable advice.
I will look into the DA and DR.

PS: Don't rely on DA & DR,
Once again, that's not how it works...

If they're stuck in that position for long enough, you can try improving your on-page SEO and adding a few quality backlinks

And wait and track the progress

You can focus on more long tail keywords and add more quality articles with internal linking. Build more quality backlinks from the relevant sites. Also, analyze your top competitors to identify what kind of keywords and topics they are ranking for. Work around those topics to improve the rankings of your website.

You need to improve your keyword research instead of trying to force rankings with backlinks.
