I suggest making several accounts, accumulating 3-5k friends on each and either selling/trading invites for fan pages, or selling the accounts.

Well, the first method (selling/trading invites) is only useful if you're attempting to get a page going viral.
Selling the accounts is possibly easier, but may not be as profitable in the long run if you get a page that's viral.

Well I would suggest to go for Facebook PPC or make Fan Pages and make them go viral.
Then promote CPA or websites or whatever you want.

Many members here take it the wrong way when you keep asking to be "spoon-fed." I suggest you read up on many threads/stickies within the Social Networking forum to familiarize yourself with the methods and tips people post.
Viral: Something that gains popularity incredibly quickly and is constantly being posted everywhere.
PPC: Pay per Click
CPA: Cost per Action
Do not make Facebook groups, they aren't very popular. Fan pages are the way to go.
