BTC is all over news for reaching 100k in 2024 itself. But ETH failed to perform to same extent. What is stopping ETH here, is it the high gas fees?

Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million, ETH has an unlimited supply.

BTC is the OG, the gold standard of crypto. ETH has outdated tech and tons of competitors – they’re even called "Ethereum killers."

A lot of people have flocked to either L2s or SOL because the gas fees on ETH tend to be terrible as soon as volume on chain spikes. I feel like SOL specifically took a lot of ETH’s momentum this cycle.

They call it alt season and it usually happens after bitcoin has had a good run

Patience, we have the whole 2025 yet

It's not ETH time yet. Simple as that.

BTC pulls the whole market up a bit, not by a mile.

Same will happen if BTC go $250k. Do not expect any ALT to follow BTC. (by a mile)

That makes no sense. BUT ETH is very unique and will be the second era of crypto and catch up with BTC eventually.

I think the altcoin always come after BTC rally, when BTC corrects or go down after a big up, it often triggers a reallocation of funds within the crypto ecosystem.

If you look at previous cycles ETH is always lacking behind, ETH/BTC ratio is also at an all time low currently - so i feel like STH is bound to have it’s move sooner than later. I also feel like SOL has taken away some momentum from ETH this cycle around.
