Hey everyone, I'm Ramazan from Turkey, and I'm new here.I've been doing a lot of research on Google Discover lately. However, I think there are more ways to get my site featured on Google Discover. Here are the things I've found so far. What are your tactics on this?

  1. A featured image with a minimum width of 1200px
  2. max-image-preview:large tag
  3. Engaging title - Question-based or list-style
  4. Embedded video in the article
  5. Trending topics
  6. AMP
  7. Google Stories plugin
  8. SCHEMA
  9. Reddit sharing

Google Discover loves content that users find valuable and interesting. Optimize for mobile since many users access Discover on their phones. Make sure your site loads fast and provides a smooth user experience. Leveraging social media can also help, as sharing your content on platforms like Twitter or Facebook can drive more traffic and engagement. Lastly, monitor your site's performance and analyze what works best by checking your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data. Keep refining your approach based on these insights.

Getting featured on Google Discover can drive huge traffic to my site. Unlike traditional SEO, it’s all about engagement, relevance, and user experience.

To rank higher on Google Discover, focus on fresh, engaging, and visually appealing content. Use high-quality images (1200px+), trending topics, and structured data like SCHEMA. Fast indexing, mobile optimization, and social media sharing can also boost visibility.

AMP is losing its relevance if you have fast loading mobile optimized website.

Never tried stories but one of my website appeared in Discover but never returned to that tab again.

Hey everyone!
Are there any hidden tricks or lesser-known tips for getting a new site into Google News or Discover?
Our site is just 2 months old, and I can’t shake the feeling that something might be off.
It’s a gaming news site, written in English and targeting a global audience. We launched at the end of January 2025 and the site runs on WordPress.
I totally get that it takes time — and we’re still pretty new — but I just want to make sure I’m not missing anything important.
We currently publish around 16 news posts every weekday, and about 2 per day on weekends. Average word count is ~650, and all news items include a main image (at least 1200px wide).
I’d really appreciate any advice on how to improve visibility and drive more traffic. Thanks so much!

To rank better on Google Discover, focus on creating fresh, engaging, and visually rich content. Use high-quality featured images, compelling titles (without clickbait), and cover trending or evergreen topics.
Make sure your site has strong E-E-A-T signals (expertise, experience, authority, trust) and is mobile-friendly. Consistency and topical relevance help you appear more often in Discover feeds.

Track performance in Search Console and refine topics based on what’s trending.
