Need Help: Using Scrapebox & GSA SER for Tiered Link Building Research

Hi everyone,

We’re exploring a strategy to reverse-engineer tiered link-building setups using Scrapebox and GSA SER. Here’s what we’ve done so far:

1. Exported verified blog comment URLs (Tier 3) from GSA SER.
2. Used Scrapebox to extract outbound/external links from these pages (Tier 2).
3. Checked backlinks of Tier 2 URLs to identify additional Tier 3 or deeper links.

Challenges:

• Identifying the actual Tier 1 backlinks and the money site, especially since competitors may have deeper tiers (Tier 4, Tier 5).
• Filtering through millions of scraped links to find high-value targets.

Does anyone have tips, custom footprints, or methods to refine this process? Any insight from experienced Scrapebox users would be greatly appreciated!

Filtering for noindex tags present on pages and nofollow tags present on blog comment links will cull a lot of your list, but will leave you with the most desirable lower tier links (indexable and do-follow). As finding what the tier 1/money site urls could be, try identifying blocks of text, and extracting any urls that appear in them, especially if the url is a domain homepage. Links are often inserted contextually at higher tiers, so going for links that are in a body of text will most likely get you what they're trying to juice up.

im pretty sure there used to be a tool that would 'un-tier' links and follow them upstream for you. it defo wasnt scrapebox though!
