White hat SEO refers to the practices to improve search engine rankings by following search engine guidelines. Practices outside the search engine guidelines are considered as black hat SEO.

The difference is whether you follow rules or take short cuts to rank your site. White hat SEO means strictly following the rules while Black hat SEO is taking short cuts to create content, gaining authority, and ranking site. If you use AI tools to create a lot of content, create backlinks to quickly rank, engage in link sharing or link farming, etc., then it's considered black hat SEO.

If you do anything for ranking your keywords within the Google ranking guidelines, then it will be the white hat method.
If you do anything for ranking your keywords out of Google ranking guidelines, then it will be the black hat method.

But both methods will be effective if the technique is more valuable.

Most of what is talked about is white hat or greyhat, the real blackhat stuff isn't usually talked about openly.

You got my curiosity, please make a post about it, it will be our little secret ;) More seriously if I understand what you're saying:
White hat: No penalty
Grey hat: Google penalty
Black hat: Google penalty&Jail penalty ?

Edit: take a look at this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/h...-xvideos-on-their-own-brand-keywords.1402933/

to me it looks like black magic

The SEO world is constantly evolving, and with that comes new techniques and strategies for getting your website to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). One debate that has been ongoing for years is the difference between black hat SEO and white hat SEO.

Black hat SEO techniques are those that are considered to be in violation of search engine guidelines. This includes methods like keyword stuffing, link buying, and doorway pages. These techniques may result in a short-termboost in rankings, but they will ultimately get your site penalized by Google and other search engines.

White hat SEO, on the other hand, is focused on providing a great user experience and creating high-quality content that adheres to search engine guidelines. This may take longer to achieve results, but it will be worth it in the long run as your site will be less likely to get penalized.

So which is better? Well, there really is no right or wrong answer. It all depends on your goals and what you’re willing to risk in order to achieve them. If you’re looking for a quick fix that may not last, then black hat SEO may be right for you. But if you want to build a

With white hat SEO, you play Google's game, and follow the gurus.
With black hat SEO, you game Google, and blow off the gurus.

Whitehat, blackhat, greyhat - all have one thing in common and that is to manipulate the search engines for higher results.

Just learn SEO, some "blackhat" techniques are used by top SEO folks in the world - dont write off any of the techniques.

Whitehat is, you create content and optimize according to search engine guidelines and get backlinks naturally.

Blackhat is where you manipulate rules in ranking, involves duplicate content, buying links, keyword stuffing, cloaking, and so on.

I dont think there is any future (and a long away past) for these mentioned blackhat techniques. Google is so smart nowadays, they will just ignore your attempts. Even penalties are unnecessary.
For real succes you need something new.

Don't bump dead/old threads. Mods don't like that here.

Thx for your information, but why is this subject dead? There are still a lot of people using oldschool not working blackhat strategies. What is the right topic to share my thoughts?

The last post was from 2022. The subject isn't dead only the thread is. You risk getting an infraction by bumping old threads. Also you make other people see it as new and post which also makes them risk getting an infraction. These are the rules here. If you want to know more about the rules and what is and what is not allowed you can read the newbie guide here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/newbie-guide.242/

Its not my intention to break the rules.
I see there:
  • Necrobumping (posting on threads that are obviously out of date and irrelevant).
Its and, not or. Imo the issue is not obviously irrelevant. To the contrary, its very relevant.
When a mod thinks my post is inapropriate, please remove my post and tell me where i can share my thoughts. There must be a thread somewhere. I couldn't find it.

It's out of date. And if you see any other member doing it you can inform him/her about it. If you get an infraction you will be able to post but if you get infractions 2 or 3 times your account is removed (permanently banned) from blackhatworld. One more thing is that people can report you for necrobumping. I haven't of course because I'm trying to explain to you how things work.
