Im a super non-tecnincal person and I’m trying to get into affiliate marketing. I’m trying to set up multiple different traffic streams with one of them being a blog but I have no idea how to actually set one up that’s optimized for SEO. I’ve been trying to learn what I can about things like backlinks and metadata but it’s all just sort of overwhelming.

Are there any easy to use platforms that I could use to set up a blog that looks somewhat professional that costs around $10 a month or something like that? Also should I stick to less technically demanding forms of generating traffic like social media? I’ve been trying that but it just been quite hard to gain traction on any platforms.
Thanks in advance for any advice :)

For an easy-to-use blogging platform, consider WordPress.com or Wix—they offer SEO-friendly features and professional templates within your budget.
Does it have everything I need to start publishing, as in hosting, domain, like can I get it all through Wix and not have to connect different services?

Wordpress host your website , and SUB domain ( website . Wordpress ) and you can start publishing your articles

Use Squarespace or WordPress.com for non-technical setups, they will simplify everything for you: hosting, domain, and templates.

As you go, learn from your mistakes!

You can also Create a FREE blog in www.blogger.com with no hosting fees or premium plans required.
  1. Sign in to Blogger.
  2. On the left, click the Down arrow .
  3. Click New blog.
  4. Enter a name for your blog.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Choose a blog address or URL.
  7. Click Save.
Blogger is user-friendly and straightforward, making it ideal for beginners with little to no technical knowledge But the Only Disadvantages are
  1. Limited Customization: Blogger offers limited themes and plugins, restricting the ability to fully customize the blog's appearance and functionality.
  2. Ownership and Control: Google owns the platform, meaning users have less control over their content and are subject to Google's terms and conditions.
  3. Scalability: Blogger is less suitable for growing or highly dynamic websites, as it lacks advanced features and flexibility compared to self-hosted platforms.
  4. SEO Limitations: While Blogger has basic SEO features, it lacks the advanced SEO tools and plugins available in WordPress.

For an easy-to-use blogging platform, I recommend WordPress with a hosting provider like Bluehost or SiteGround. Both have affordable plans around $10/month and offer great SEO features with plugins like Yoast. As for traffic, combining blog SEO with social media can work well—just focus on consistency and quality content!
