2025 just started, and I’ve made a promise to myself: no more wasting time on things that don’t matter.
Last year, I spent way too many hours doom-scrolling, watching pointless YouTube videos, and refreshing my social feeds.

By the end of the day, I’d always feel like I accomplished nothing, and that frustration would spill into the next day.

This year, I’m taking back control.

Let me share a little background. For years, I’ve struggled to stay productive online. I’d sit down with the best intentions but somehow end up:
  • Refreshing my email every five minutes.
  • Getting sucked into random Reddit rabbit holes.
  • Binge-watching “just one more” YouTube video.
It felt like I was sabotaging my own success, and honestly, I’d had enough.

So, I went on a mission to find something—anything—that could help me stay focused and productive.

That’s when I discovered StayFocusd (not affiliated), a simple but powerful Chrome extension that’s become my secret weapon in fighting procrastination.

What strategies or tools do you use to stay productive? I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions below!
Let’s help each other win this year.

This is exactly what I suffer with although my videos are from pornhub and onlyfans.

Unfortunately I've already failed my 2025, signed up to a new one this morning.

It's so easy to fall into those distractions, especially when the internet makes it so accessible.
But hey, the fact that you recognize the issue means you haven’t failed 2025.

I quit Porn completely, maybe when you do the real thing too much you just realize the OF and PH is a fantasy. Every time I think of going back I just switch my wifi or data off and do something physical like press-ups of go outside and take a walk.

Am getting addicted to BH already, not really like an addiction but scrolling through thousands of posts to find the right one and legit one is not easy. I take like 2 days off youtube. That also keeps me off refreshing my favorite creators content. I need to do more though my target was one article for my blog , 1 for my medium page, 1 video for my youtube channel and the rest is just marketing when am free by doing tweets on X. Not easy but will check the tool. Thanks

Thanks for sharing.

I just take action and I will take action 2x more in this year.

Focus. Tunnel vision.

I can totally relate!
What’s helped me is:
- Changing work spots
- Listening to music
- Setting limits on social media
- Pacing my tasks to avoid burnout

It’s all about small, intentional changes.

i think procrastination comes from lack of self respect. if you have respect for yourself, you think "i deserve a better life than wasting time on youtube"

I don't believe in stupid chrome extensions that can be bypassed. it's like blocking porn on your computer. when you are horny, guess what? you will uninstall the extension and start watching porn again.

you need to work on your self respect.

I guess you never tried chaturbate? Hahaha. The fact that you can interact with people real time like a virtual strip club takes it up a notch even when you have the real thing. Your partner may like it too.

Too idealistic. Got to relax and enjoy life sometimes man.

What helped me is focusing on making one change at a time, it's tough to quit everything cold turkey. Your brain is used to cheap dopamine, and taking it all away at once you're more likely to get back to it. Think of it this way, you can't just go to the gym when you're obese or scrawny and lift 225 lbs bench or squat 400 lbs, it's like a muscle that needs exercise. Start by changing one thing and one thing only for example cut off Social media or YouTube, preferably whatever you're spending the LEAST time on, and cut that thing off completely, continue jerking off or whatever else you're doing. You will need a lot of discipline to keep yourself on track, just take a notebook and write down everyday that you've done it Example: Date 01/02/2025 I haven't watched YouTube for a whole day. This will add a sense of reward (dopamine) that you did something
As you start cutting cheap dopamine down, you are going to feel very bored, your brain will start messing with you, you will catch yourself grabbing your phone on autopilot and heading to ig reels or tiktok, you have to battle this at all costs, if possible delete all apps that you have problems with.
In 3rd week start with 2nd bad habit and so on, update your notebook and from time to time read all of the days you managed to avoid cheap dopamine, and feel proud of yourself. Also what can help as well is adding some good habits like working out (if you're already not doing it), reading etc, and even with that start small, don't read a whole book a day then don't do it the next day, it's all about repetition. A good book on this matter is Atomic Habits by James Clear, think can give you also some points that you can follow and get a better insight. Best of luck :)

- Listening to music
- Setting limits on social media
Help a lot too. I'm watching less video before and listen more music, help me a lot. I like listen music from my kid/teenage times and musics with no vocals, only instrumental, sometimes I listen today music, I dont like too much.

Quit from social media too. I use only few.
