Hey BHW Forum,

I’m considering promoting an Amazon affiliate link using a pop-up ad network, and I’m curious if this approach could actually work. Has anyone here tried something similar? Since Amazon cookies last for 30 days, I’m thinking there’s a chance to earn a commission if the user who sees the pop-up ends up buying something on Amazon during that time.

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences

yeah it’s doable amazon cookies last 24h unless the user adds an item to their cart then it’s 90 days but pop-ups can be intrusive have you thought about another method like landing pages ?

yeah it can be intrusive but what if the pop ups are pop under ads? Would that also work? And no I haven't really thought about other methods but I will see because I have just read that amazon can ban my account for advertising with pop ups

yeah but watch out for pop-ups amazon hates that you could get banned instantly have you thought about using contextual links or banners in existing content it's less risky right ?

Just need some views if i do it with the twist
what if i
1- Get a winning product
2- create a landing page with the purchase link to Amazon product page
3- Create google ads relevant keywords.
how does it sound?

1 - Winning product meant a top sold product?
2 - The amazon product page or your amazon affiliated link?
3- Are you experienced at Google ads??
I’m not , but i do want to learn about it.

Your amazon account will get banned because Amazon can see where the traffic is coming from you won't get those commissions

Using pop-up ads for Amazon affiliate links can work, but it really depends on your targeting and ad quality. Keep in mind that Amazon is strict about how links are promoted, make sure your method doesn’t violate their TOS. Also, focus on highly relevant audiences; otherwise, you might burn through your budget without conversions.

Is it X good to promote website like that one?

That’s going to add more traffic?

Amazon has very low commissions, but on the other hand they regularly pay extra if you meet a certain sales target. The amount can vary, depending on the activity of your account.

As long as your ads are being shown on legitimate non shady websites, you should be fine. for example popups or pop unders om casino, gambling or crypto sites will be against their TOS and male you lose commissions.
