It patches itself. He spent 3 weeks making crap and then he thought, let's go for another month.

Then it'll be 2025. He'll come up with new rules and we'll go through the core update, the review update, the spam update, and finally the fuck update.

it's not a search engine anymore.......google must have recruited the ELEMENTOR devloppers to make so many panic-inducing updates...

Google updates whenever it breaks the rules. Google updates 1 to 2 times a month.

it's not personal, for them it's just business as usual. All of the changes they make are intended to do 1 of 2 things: make them more money at all costs, push their agenda (whichever that is) at all costs

Google is a shithole I agree with you, that's why you should aim at ranking on another search engines as well.

We neglect others too much, whoever they may be.

As I said, on some of my sites downgraded by this google update, sorry the succession of google updates in recent weeks, the majority of my traffic comes from alternative engines.

Here's an example from one of my last IA sites:



Google is far from being the main source of traffic... people are turning away from it because of the irrelevance of the results.

Today, it gives priority to commercial links over real information.

The only real question I'm asking myself now is how can I work on my SEO for others? Unless we need to go back to basics, making sites for visitors and not for Google.
I'm sick and tired of modifying sites 28 times a year to satisfy my lord google.

That's my thought for 2025, and I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all an excellent 2025!

Your thoughts are correct... I am also tired of google and prefer to rank in other search engines. However most of the people know google and no the others. So that's a bad thing. However, there's a wave coming from people unsatisfied by google which will make it to improve itself and make it have less monopoly over the searches. We'll see. Happy new year man!

I also think that people will slowly turn away from google as they did to adapt their queries.

I've got a whole network of phone sex, and in French they're called “telephone rose”, Pink phone for you.

Well, google has decided to put ....pink phone pictures or sell !!!! amazon and other sales sites on the first page... a real phone.

People have adapted and modified the request, which I can't translate into English because it's so subtle in French.

I don't underestimate my visitors and make sites for them, to give them the information they're looking for and, if I can, to get them to subscribe to my site but that's incidental.

Google says they own the internet ... but if most webmasters disable and stop feeding Google information and data for free, and after they will destroy you/me/us they will start losing big time ... they grow and they keep growing because we keep giving free information and data to them but if 90% of websites will block Google i can say they will be easy destroy .... and if they try to steal data just sue them how they do ... but we need to unite and boycott Google and everyone who don't want to boycott Google.
