Selling on Amazon in 2014 was a piece of cake, it was the easiest thing to do. Then saturation settled in and it became so difficult. Many lost money and closed shop because of this. But about 3 or so years ago, there was a new boom as innovative people began to look for ways to cooperate with Amazon and make money from it. Now there are a few selling models that are booming again. Those who know what to do are building some great businesses. That is where I am today, not easy but perfectly doable if you know what you are doing.welcome to bhw. how do you think selling on amazon today compared to 5-10 years ago?
Your suggestion may indeed work, but still selling directly on Amazon cannot be equaled. The massive traffic on Amazon cannot be compared with any other traffic out there, as far as physical products are concerned. What you are suggesting is when you are sending your own external traffic. In that case, you are better off selling on Shopify.Welcome to bhw, Sam.
I'd say we need more ecom peeps here.
Have you tried using funnels instead of the Amazon marketplace?
You can use Amazon as an order form downsell though. A sort of last resort if they are about to leave your page.
Funnels will have a much higher ACV as well.
